: Calling 'mos
Justinb845 02-07-2008, 12:10 PM Now that we have a date for the national meet and Carly has told everyone her room is the party room Jake and I will be having the "alternative" party room.
Rules for party room:
1. Follow all signs posted at the door.
2. No tude zone.
3. .5 'mos allowed in
now which 'moes are going to show up besides Jake and I and Junebug?
Just wondering.
Rocket Dog 02-07-2008, 12:27 PM I guess if I have to ask what a "moe" is, I don't want to go.
kdean06 02-07-2008, 12:32 PM *Removed post to remove foot from mouth*
Junebug 02-07-2008, 12:47 PM Well apparently I'm already going, but yeah, I'll be there! :D
Justinb845 02-07-2008, 12:54 PM ok it is a "family affare"
ok so for the list we have
Jake
Justin
Junebug
and a .5 that will remain nameless:evil:
I guess if I have to ask what a "moe" is, I don't want to go.
Don't worry, RD. I'll host a non-secret party and anyone can come. Even Kiwi owners...

I'm bringing my hula skirt. In fact, I'll bring several.

The point of this thread was just to find out how many "Family Members are attending the meet. Anyone is welcome to crash the party and RD, I think you'll fit in just fine with that skirt on. :-D

Hmm..never heard that terminology before. How about "thought they may have been half-mo in college and may or may not have experimented but ultimately married a member of the opposite sex" moes? Can they come?

Aww, c'mon, RD. We're not that scary. On the other hand, you should watch out for the recruiters, they can get pretty aggressive.

Actually, I'm a devout lesbian.

Darn it! I was so looking forward to getting that on film! :x
hownowcb 02-07-2008, 03:51 PM For what it's worth, I consider a number of the family members my friends. Furthermore, I can vouch for one of the hottest, most incredibly entertaining gay bars in downtown Columbus from the meet there in 2005. And, by the way, Rocket Dog, being lesbian would afford you no "safe passage" in the circumstances. :D Everybody has fun!!
Justinb845 02-08-2008, 12:32 AM Wow Colin that is the most civilized statement that you have ever said to me
I think that your Girlfriend had you fixed, your awfully nice lately. I don't want to know if it is for other reasons. (UMI)
not that I am complaining I mean really after the first time I met you I am not surprised you didn't end up with a brain bruise from me hitting you in the skull, next time I will use a brick it will make that my point a little more impressive and you might understand to use your quiet voice.
( Yes I edited this post sorry for the REALLY BAD GRAMMER AND SPELLING ISSUES even I had a hard time reading this)
Tim Vance 02-08-2008, 08:44 AM either my decoder ring just expired, or Justin is trying out a new code!

Translation: I agree with you completely RD. Kiwi is definitely the superior color and I will trade up to a Kiwi Element at the earliest possible opportunity.
Justinb845 02-08-2008, 02:43 PM sorry about that last post I was at work and well sleep has been somthing I have not been getting alot of lately.
RD your translation was not correct NBP is the best
kdean06 02-09-2008, 08:03 AM I'm a bit slow, and may have learned my lesson.
In retrospect I'm looking at my first post, made jokingly, and thinking it could have been offensive.
I don't and didn't mean it to be offensive to anyone, and I apologize if it was taken offensively.
Rocket Dog 02-09-2008, 08:05 AM Shouldn't it be "mos"?
Junebug 02-09-2008, 11:20 AM kdean - i appreciate the clarification! i didn't really get it but assumed you didn't mean any harm. we're all just looking to have fun!

Those two things are kind of the point. I don't normally think of people's sexual orientation. In fact, in MOST cases I don't even really think of anyone's gender online.
When I saw this thread I didn't seriously realize that 'mo was actually referring to gay people, but it did pop into my mind, so I made a joking comment and a Seinfeld reference that alluded to it (again, not realizing it was a serious inquiry).
I checked the thread the next morning for replies and when it became VERY clear to me that homosexuality was indeed being referenced, my formerly humorous comment appeared TO ME as offensive so I removed it.

I sent a PM to you because you were the thread starter. My goal wasn't to avoid offending gay people, but to avoid offending anyone. I don't like people being stereotyped and pigeon-holed for any reason (we've all be labeled for some reason or another). You don't have to be gay to be upset by people being rude to someone who is gay.
