I seem to remember seeing something on this but I can't find it, sorry if this is a repeated question.

Stock head unit is gone, replaced with Pioneer single DIN unit and a kit to make it fit, has a pocket underneath where the second DIN would be.

Anyway, all of this talk about carputers has me ready to try this with a touch screen such as this:

http://store.mp3car.com/Xenarc_700IDT_In_Dash_7_inch_Touch_Screen_VGA_p/mon-017.htm

So I need a mount that will hold both, is there such an item for the E?

Thanks!

If the single din is not factory such as from a LX, I think if you got the stock radio brackets you could do this http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/prddisplay.jsp?inputsta te=5&catcgry1=Element&catcgry2=2007&catcgry3=5DR+LX+2WD&catcgry4=KA5AT&catcgry5=AUTO+RADIO part 5 and 6 Drew:)

Yeah, I think that will accomplish what I want but the trim will be missing. I found this on FleaBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=012&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=220197620032&rd=1

For $12 it may be worth taking a chance on, I've wasted way more than that trying to get side markers I like.

Thanks!

If you just want the trim that should work cause other wise that is a pretty flimsy kit. I know cause I used it when I put single din in my 07 before I put in the D-3. Good luck, Drew:)

Thanks for the input. I could start with the metal brackets and get the trim kit if I didn't like the look, I could never fabricate anything like that.

Yup, that looks very nice!

So you'd have to put the HU on the bottom so the screen could motor up but it might block the vents.

I thought of that, I can live with it, don't run the upper vents a lot.

I'm excited because I can eliminate the GPS and run it through the carputer, in front of the vents is great for me.
