Anyone dabble in these??? I'm thinking of putting some in, Krypton Green. But are they really worth it? Brightness ? Clarity? Will changing them mess around with my warranty? Input please... :)

I have a black E and I installed the blue xenons. Not sure if they are brighter or not, but they definately look cool. Visibility seems better as the light is crisper. It takes all of 3 minutes to change them out. Be careful not to touch the bulbs.

Not sure about warranty, but then, if you changed a burnt out taillight with one from Pepboys, how would this be any different?

If the price is right, I would buy those JDM lights. TokyoMan, please get back to us about price and shipping costs.

Also, what other JDM parts can you get?

I believe they're talking about "Japanese Domestic Market".

...the odd thing here if the JDM Elements are manufactured in the US...wouldn't some of the parts also be manufactured here as well...then shipped to japan...then shipped back here?

Sounds expensive... :)

I don't think any of these lamps mentioned are actual HID lamps. HID lamps will need a new wiring kit and balast and the kit can cost more than $500.

The lamps mentioned are bright and some have a blue tint to the bulb to imitate HID's

Here is a link to real HID kits.

IIRC, HID = High Intensity Discharge

Speaking as the first person I know of to convert his E to HID (4/4/03), I HIGHLY recommend it. The E is perfect for it. Generic kist can e had for $350. Hi/Low eam kits for $575. Install is easy (if you can use basic hand tools). Check out my website for pics.

The HIDs are stock from Honda of Japan (Japanese Domestic Model) Elements.

There are no Elements sold with Halogens in Japan.
Plus you won't get weird looks from cops. No glare unlike the retrofits you buy. I have been living in Japan for 2 yrs now and I have seen JDM model Hondas with factory HIDs. No glare, no funky colors, its pure white and bright from what I can tell.

The package will include all parts which fit perfectly into your vehicle like the JDM Element.

1. head lamps - need these b/c where the HID bulb mounts are different from the regular halogens.
2. igniter
3. bulbs
4. gaskets, covers, screws.
5. controller unit
6. Hood component (need this for your lo/hi)

Price is bit high since it is from Honda. $1570 plus shipping.
The price will depend on the Japanese yen exchange rate at the time of sale. I dunno what shipping will be from here.... but I am looking into at the moment to get some cheap shipping prices.

If interested you can email me at vernianz@hotmail.com
and put JDM Parts on the title.

Let me know what else you guys want from the JDM models.
I also will be doing Integras, CRVs, Civics, and Accords.

I currently picked up some 3AcRacing bulbs from Pepboys. I used to have the same brand in my Ranger, and i liked them. They are alot clearer tahn the stock bulbs in my opinion and look more badazz. There hyper whites so they dont have that cheesy blue look like some bulbs do. Do be prepared to spend 40$ or more on them, but hey you get what you pay for. You can cheap out and buy 20$ bulbs but they will run like 20$ bulbs and proably attract cops. One more thing, make sure you dont get the 95/105 watt bulbs. Get the 55/65 or w/e the reccomended is, othere wise you will burn out the wiring harness. I will try to get some pictures later tonight of it w/ the headlights on. Just post your email and I will send them to you.

Even though the Element is built MAINLY in the US, there are alot of different parts made only for the Japanese market once it makes it overseas. Anyways, I am more interested in the the jdm front side body panels. Can you estimate cost for both, left and right side? thanks

just fro reference.... i work for a honda dealership in service... and i also own a E..... the hid bulbs pull a lot more watts then allowed by honda wiring... and the tend to melt the harness....this is not warranty either so be willing to flip the bill...

believe it or not, ive always had the best luck with the liteglow bulbs from target. they cost $13 for the pair and the light they put off is very crisp and wont attract cops attention. ive used other brands like eurolite ($40), streetglow ($40), catz ($50), silverstars ($45), and piaa ($50) and all of them burned out quickly, werent much brighter or crisp, and cost wayyyyyyyyy more. if you want the more expensive bulbs go for either piaa or catz. the rest suck.
