Well after alot of thinking i decided on what brand dvd player I wanted. I bought a Valor In-dash DVD player model # VM9022. I love it. It has a direct connect to my ipod which can be controlled from the touch screen. It is blue tooth so i can use hands-free and dial from the screen. The picture quality is great and loads fast. I originally was quoted $740 which was wayy to much for me especially when i got some prices off the net. I came back prepared and knocked down the price to $590 installed. Well here are some pictures.

That looks nice. This is a mod that is on my wish list. Like Dance said, the install looks clean and you got a good price. Just a few questions, Is this unit nav capable and does is support XM / Satellite radio? Since you are in Upland, where did you purchase?

Yes, Navigation and Sat radio are an add-on option. I went to advanced stereo on Central across the street from Best buy.

Valor=Jensen? From what ive read and seen Valor is a step above Jensen. I would have gone with the Jensen, but side-by-side the picture quality was a little better with the valor and he got me the bluetooth add on.

Thats very interesting to know that Jensen and Valor are using the exact same part number as well.

Edit:

On further inspection thats actually the DTS603w you have listed in your sig and not the same thing as the VM9022.

Hmmm, for $50 more you would have gotten a lot more functionality out of the Jensen unit as well.

USB input
AUX input
Bluetooth
4 volt preouts
Security code

Its still a good unit for the price, dont get me wrong. I commend you for not spending $1100 on an Alpine unit that probably does less like my dumbass brother in law did lol!

oops true that the Valor is Dts603w....
The Jensen did have the options I agree.
I have to take my valor back to the shop because the menu button isn't working...so as of right now i give this unit a thumbs down.

luckily it comes with a 1 year warranty.

That is what I want! Now I know what I am going to do for an after market stereo, but what do I do with my aux jack? Make it an input for DVD? It looks like yours is an LX. Anyway, looks nice, maybe if the feds pass the rebate.

Yeah, I was wondering why it had the same product model as Jensen.
