I personally have not had much in the way of door related issues (yeah, I hear a very slight rattle from my driver door over large bumps or crappy roads, but I'm more worried about losing my lunch due to the stiff transmission...). However, I have noticed that there are quite a few people that HAVE had issues.
I also noticed that anytime I have a passenger, they'll shut their door, then open it, then shut it again, thinking it never latched. I have to assure them it did, but it only latches into the rear door, which absorbs some of the force, so the reassuring clunk isn't there.
The solution I thought of, which really doesn't affect the whole "pillarless design" concept, is to simply put the front door latch at the top of the door, much as it is with the rear door. The latch could be housed in the same panel that houses the rear latch, just make the housing longer. Of course, the front door should also latch into the rear door, for stability's sake, but I think this would eliminate a lot of the front door vibrations.
Then again, I have no engineering degree, so if the whole thing falls off or something when your driving down the road, I'll shirk all responsibility.
