There's a turnout on that cut in the far mountain in your first picture. That's where both I and bike zen were parked.

Dunno... I've only been through there a few times. It's not too far from Paso Robles to Cambria (over on the coast), and from there, only a few miles up to San Simeon.

Has anyone camped in the Big Sur area in November?

The fam and I were thinking about camping there for Thanksgiving, but I am unsure of the weather that time of year.

We were there at the end of march and it was COLD!!!! And I know cold, I'm from chicago:cool: So it'll probably be fairly chilly around thanksgiving-- 40s at night maybe...

Hahaha, yes, I know it gets cold there, I think March might be one of the coldest months.
We were there in Aug one time and we were bundled up the whole time.
I went to the Weather Underground website and they said Nov 25th last year it was in the 60-70's during the day, and 40's at night. Very little cloud cover that time of year too.
But, I always prefer to hear it from people who have been there!
Thanks for the input
Anyone venture to Big Sur in Nov?

:)

November is great if you like cold, wet and uncrowded. Personally, this spoon would love it, but I'd have to go alone!
