So we are moving into the second year of production of the Element-- How many '03 owners have not had any rattles, windshield cracks or other issues?

I have had one slight rattle, my other car had a ton more. My E is wonderful and I have driven it for 10 months now.

I have not had one problem with my E. Five thousand miles on her so far. Best purchase I have made in a long time.

I've had to have my steering rack replaced, but it was no big deal. It was leaking a very small amount and Honda elected to replace the whole dang unit. So who'm I to complain...Still happy as a guinea pig, if that's as happy as I can be.

My windshield broke....but that was caused by a rock thrown from a semi.....no big deal.

I am so super duper happy about my E....it is the best and and most expensive purchase I have ever made.

Only had mine for five weeks (4700 miles) and only have one problem.
That is getting my wife out of it so I can use it. She tells me to take the Accord.

I voted no problems, though I've got a dash rattle. The rattle is not as bad as my '95 Saturn, so I can live with it.

I've got 13K mile on my E (since April 30), and I love this car.

Windshield crack (not stress) and a rattle that showed up after I was smashed.

very happy so far. I am considering trade to a 04 depending on if this insurance mess gets settled. If not I will most likely trade to an 05. Unless Honda's fabled truck shows up.

3100 miles today for me... still no issues to report.

LOL, Happy as a guinea pig... not quite what I meant-- but funny, KDan.

Well I have owned my E for over 8 months and put 9000 mile on it. The only thing I can complain about is MPG. I am getting about 21-24 on avg but I was spoiled by my 93 Civic Si.

i have slight dash rattle, but it has been taken care of wedging a small piece of plastic between the dash and the a pillar on the driver's side...if this turns out to be my only complaint about the e i will be pretty happy.

one small rattle in the driver's side door but that is pretty small when you think of the thousands of parts inside the E. 5K in 5 weeks, best buy of my life.

I'm happier than a pig in mud! There isn't a knife sharp enough or big enough to cut the smile off my face! Consumer research must be insane, because even though they never asked, they designed and built this thing JUST FOR ME. Nothing is perfect, but there were NO alternatives. This is it!

By the way...I REFUSE to check the "total" odometer. I suspect that in the nearly two months I've owned mine, I fear I may have put close to 3,000 miles on it (and I only live 4 (four!) miles from work!). I've gotta keep reminding myself that if I'm NOT driving it, I'M the one who gets to stand back and admire it, and remember what a GREAT choice I made for MY needs!

I have to admit the only problem I have is that I live so close to work 3.8 Mi. had mine for 3 months and only have 1200 miles on it. I look for reasons to run errands just to drive it. ( Yeah yeah stop saying "it' and give her a name already.)

my only problem is the compelling urge to stick out my tongue 8Þ at people when they pull up on the side and ask, "is that a HUmmer???" I guess that's what I get for debadging her

Hey, everytime I think I hear a rattle, it's just something that's in one of the nifty storage areas - CD's, my AC inverter, stuff in the back... If there are any rattles in the E, all my stuff drowns them out.

Yes! That I-beam noise on the right when i went around corners turned out to be the masking tape stashed in my door pocket.

I do have the infamous dash noise on the right. Mine's just a vinyl against vinyl sound, not very loud, and it's only for a couple of minutes first thing in the mornings. First time that I heard it, I said, "Oh well, I sound a little creaky in the mornings too". :D It's not enough to have someone start tearing my dash apart, which is invasive. I'll point it out if they have to go in there for another reason, but for now it's no big deal.

I've only got about 500 miles on mine but i love it..I've had no problems.
The dealer has treated me well too..Although i may be developing the rocking seat problem.I am confident that if it's true they'll take care of my
problem without a lot of hastle.

I have had my E for a little over two months now with 7000 miles on it. The only problem was a cracked windshield. It was cracked 6 in up from the bottom and started from the side. I believe this was an issue with the new material Honda started using to seal the windshields. The E is not the only model with this problem. My guess is that for 04 Honda went back to what works. As far as mgp, I am getting what the window sticker said I should get. In fact, I am getting 1 mpg better in city and hwy driving. I would recomend this car to anyone.

Wow, I had to check to make sure I didn't write all that myself! I too have had mine for nearly 2 months, have nearly 3000 miles AND live 4 miles from work! I have not had one single problem and I couldn't be more happy with my choice!

we say happy as a clam
sorry, Seattle joke...
Anyway, had mine for 3 weeks now, 2000 miles (road trip in the first week) and the only issue is that I think the rocking drivers seat is starting. No worries though as my dealer is great!
I freakin' love this car! er...truck!...uh...never mind.

1200 miles and error free. the only problem was water in the front floor area. left it with the dealer 4 days {retired i can do that}. they even left it out in one of our torrential early winter rain storms. Didnt find anything and its been dry since. I think the window was open during transport. Ive seen this on other occasions
