HMMM, are there any three or four day weekend/holidays in April??

Anytime is OK with me (but, then again, I'm retired with no current J-O-B, so that might change by then.... :sad::) )

No date ideas, yet? How about the weekend of the 18-20th??

Camping, beaching it, or hard roofing it? Being military, I can reserve a spot at the Army rec camp, so, if that's what everybody is leaning towards, LMK.

Course, once we decide on a date, I am changing my tagging card to invite ALL E owners to joins us........ :D:D:D

Plan to leave Anchorage the 19th, early AM. I hoping for 8AM or earlier . . .
As of today, we have not set up a meeting place yet. I'm open on this subject. If anyone would like to meet for breakfast before starting our adventure, I'm open to that too! Please feel free to bring the kids, spouse, dog, friends, etc. The more the merrier!

If anyone wants to meet up for BREAKFAST, please post your ideas!!! Village Inn or Denny's is fine. But, if you've another HOT SPOT, PLEASE SHARE!!!

Denny's would be fine, but, I was thinking of leaving Anchorage no later than 8 AM, wanted to get an early start on the 2 hour trek down south. Maybe meeting at 7 AM? Of course, if a hangover is a problem...... :lol::lol::lol::lol:

I shouldn't be hungover. :wink: The earlier is better for me too. Hoping to get back to town early enough to pick up my bib for the race (it closes at 5, I may be able to be convinced to stay a bit later and pick it up on race day, but I hate fighting the crowd for it).

For breakfast there is always Judy's (not sure what time they open) and I think that Hillside Family Restaurant opens earlier.

Also, my pups will be coming with us. They love a good road trip.

Never heard of Judy's. There's also a restaurant that opens early and I ALWAYS see cars there, I think it called the Lucky Wishbone (?). It's on fifth just as you get into downtown, right side, right after the 5th/6th Ave separation and the first light.

Glad that your furballs will be joining us, wish I had one to bring myself :sad: but, we'll have one again soon..... :grin: Now I can finally meet yours...... :rolleyes::grin:

It is on Old Seward just south of O'Mally. Bestest Breakfast ever!

Just looked at their menu, they serve "Joe's Special!! I've had that recipe for years!! Love it (just never seen it served at a restaurant!).

I picked up an extra pair of 2-Way Radios for pit stops & wildlife sightings. Always good to have these little toys along for chatting.

C'MON DEBBIE!! It will be the most relaxing time you've had since you've been here (OK, except for the Moose's Tooth). :rolleyes::D

Even AK tourists need a break every now and then!! We have made the drive a few times, an it is REALLY very scenic!! It will be a VERY relaxing time with people you've already met (and, maybe a couple of others), good converstaion, and the four-legged family members will enjoy the trip as well!! :cool:

Do you NEED any more reasons??!! :shock::-?:twisted::lol:

My friend that lives down in Seward and works at the Sealife center said that the roads are good between here and there. Hopefully we don't get any more snow before than so the drive down is nice and relaxing.

According to MSn's weather guess, er, forecast, Seward is supposed to be mostly cloudy and 48 on Saturday!! Sounds like it will be a great time as well as a beautiful drive. :rolleyes::):D
