Has anyone heard a tapping sound in the general engine when idling, both when the engine is warming up and when at normal running temp. Is this part of the engine breaking in process?

Also, when driving off from a stop there a sound that reminds me of a low oil level power steering pump coming from the tranny area.

Any theories?

My engine has a tapping noise early in the morning when starting out for work. It is idleling but soon goes away after warming up. Almost sounds as if it were out of oil......but it is full. I haven't a clue what it could be but plan on mentioning it to the dealer at my first oil change.
