I haven't read about this happening yet, but I've got to believe it's only a matter of time until someone shuts a rear door on a prematurely closed front door. This looks like it would cause major damage to the front door. I think an interlock preventing rear door closure until front door is closed would be a great idea

I look over that and since the front door only locks to the rear it bounces right back. The only thing that looks possible is if they are closed at the same moment with the rear coming in just behind. Even then it looks like you will only hit the plastic area around the handle which is pretty easily replaced if it gets scuffed up.

I dearly love these doors. They are so convenient! I open my driver door and get right into whatever is stowed in the rear. Yep, I've had someone slam the front door before the rear was closed! moron...(my brother in law :)
But it works for me and I do not want them changed one bit! It's a two door sport SUV with convenience for rear seating if needed.
