I think that it is possible; however, I need to get my hands on a cheapie set to figure this out... unless someone else has already tried.

The alpine E has 6.5's in the a pillars, but from what i've seen (and remember) there was A LOT work put into them. How deep of a speaker is this? I would think it would not be too hard to do. You might have to do a little bit of buildout to make it work. I'm guessing this is a mid, is it a dome or cone?

My E has 6.5 Kicker SS components in the A pillars.

I haven't picked out the speakers yet... this will be an interestting project.

I have some 6.5 separates in the doors; however, I want better imaging up front as I have a spare amplified channel available up front giving me about 30 watts RMS per channel.

If I get an SC (I'm strongly considering it), I'll be putting a 4" & a 1" in the a-pillars (with a 6.5" in the door...Boston Pro 6.53 components).
