My rattle sounds just like 99.9% of everyone elses rattle posted here. Mine is on the far right side. I keep wanting to press down hard on the dash near where the vent, tweeter and the pillar is to see if that will make it go away. Well it doesn't of course but that seems to be where the noise is coming from. I saw some photos here where someone had removed the plastic coverings from the pillars of each side and put a rubbery cushioning material underneath a wire that resides there that appears to come from the tweeter. The person who posted this had said that this had fixed the problem. I would like to hear back from that individual to see if all is still well and if they are still "rattle free'.
If I don't get rid of this rattle soon I may loose my mind.

The fix to the A pillars with the material placed between the bottom of the pillar and the dashboard probably fixed one source of noise on that E but the fix described in "Annoying Dashboard Rattle Noise" was different and definitely took care of a very annoying rattle on my E. That fix involved removing the right side windshield wiper cowling and finding a seam where the firewall joins the inner right fender/strut tower and spreading the seam where it is not spot welded and filling it with seam sealer. This is a now well known problem to the Honda Tech Line and your dealer should be able to give them a call, talk to the Element experts and fix this in short order. If you can stop this noise by wedging your fingers (or anyone else's) between the windshield and the dash on the right side - this should be the solution.
Good luck, let us know how it turns out. Don't be afraid of calling Honda's Customer Support line number found in your manual.
Now driving a quiet E!

My dash was rattling on the right side about a year ago.I took it to the dealer and they fixed the problem. He told me it was a problem that was addressed by a racall and they have a kit to repair it for free. My dealer is Sandollar Honda in Galveston, Texas.

The dealer changed my front windsheild panel on the right side after they apparently had glued it on when they after they replaced the windsheild last year. It flew off at about 70 mph. Now I have a dash rattle on the right side. It may be inside but I'm not ruling out it may be the new panel. Anybody else have this issue?

Mine just developed a rattle two days ago, but I'm fairly certain it's on the left side.
The sound is kind of a low rumble in the dash. Less of a rattle, more of a rumble.
I was going to start with the 303 treatment, but I'm not sure if this is a suitable fix for what I'm experiencing.
Seems the right rattle is common, anyone else have a similar issue on the left?
I have a creaking sound on the left. It only happens when it's cold out. So when I start driving in the morning I just turn the heat on full blast for about 5 to 10 mins and it goes away.
I'm not about to take it in for them to take the dash apart and cause more noise...so I'm just going to live with it as most people have.
Plus I'll be moving back to the South soon...it doesn't get cold as much there. :-D
