Hi just wondering if there are ever any meets for Honda Element owners in the Greater Vancouver area. I would go if there are.

I'm a little far morth for a Vancouver meet, but, if there is enough of a group there (still trying to get one going here), maybe we can do a "meet in the middle" gathering late summer or spring '09? 8):-)

No, I don't live here (yet) it's high on my wish list. I'm in town working on a Movie (again). I'm only here a week and just thought maybe I'd get lucky and meet up with some E's. maybe next time.

I could have been there had I known. Sorry I missed you but glad you saw the park on this marvelous day -hopefully there will be more. What type of movie are you working on and dare I ask, are you an actor? One of my clients is an actor and naturally we talk about houses and not about acting.

Will you get an opportunity to do some more site seeing while in town? There's lots to see.

Here's a suggestion...:)
We can have our own meet that coincides with the international meet.

Sunday June 22nd, we meet at Gary Point Park in Steveston at 10:30 am.

We can chit chat and have a meet and greet for an hour or so, then if interested (and as Beng suggested) go for some fish and chips.
We can leave our Elements at Gary Point Park, and walk to Dave's Fish and Chips. (Approx 5-10 minute walk)

After lunch, we can walk back to the park for photos etc.

Gosh, sorry I didn't check-in earlier. It would have been nice to meet last Sunday, June 22nd as Triple G suggested.

Can we get a registry of GVA "E" Owners that may want to get together sometime for a meet so we can send out a fan-out email when there is an event being planned out. That way, so misses out on any information.

Any volunteers to handle that task?

I'm going to be in Vancouver for the month of Oct working on a Movie and was thinking of hosting a Meet n Eat or maybe a Mod Meet.

Where is a good location that most GVA Element Owners would attend ?

I always enjoy going to Stanley Park or Burnaby Lake but I'm an infrequent vistor and don't know all (if any) of the cool spots.

Oh, I will be driving from North Hollwood to North Vancouver, so if you see me crusin around town in my Black E with Caifornia plates, give me the secret wave or just Honk.

count me in for a Vic meet

I think it would be great to meet In Vic, drive the 4.5 hours to Tofino, camp out, food, drinks, surf, beach, fire, music... then do the drive back the following day. Have a little Lunchbox convoy.

I'm down with that... Maybe wait until sprummer though, so we don't freeze our Eees off? 8)

I would be whiling to drive from Tofino to meet in Vic for the convoy, and also convoy back towards Vic after the meeting. The pass can be a little unforgiving in the early spring, and yes, It certainly would be too cold to enjoy hanging out on the beaches at night. The summers here are quite intense with "Non Humans" haha (tourist). Could prove to be difficult finding room to facilitate a small army of E's. I really like the idea of late August to Mid Sept. We get a lot of fog in August.

I would say Sept 3-4 or 10-11. Lots of Sun, Great temp, and not too overwhelming with Tourist. We'll still be in full on summer mode... there'll be music and food. I'll do a little research as to what festivals we have going on around that time. Whale festival is in March, Summer festival in June, Food n Wine in July, Beer fest/Film fest in October, Oyster festival in Nov... among others.

We're in for an island drive too but there never seems to be enough interested drivers.

I'm not in BC, but Vancouver is closer to me than Seattle. So I'd be in if there was something around there.

Yeah, I may be tempted to make the trek from Seattle to join in on this too. The only catch is my fiancee doesn't "get" car club/car forum culture so it'd probably be a hard sell for her to "drive hours and hours to hang out with some strangers just because we all like the same car." :roll:

Well here's some other options for your Fiance if it's in Vancouver, not knowing what he or she likes.... Great Bars for drinking, Great stipclubs for well yeah you know, and finally Great shopping, so that should pretty much cover most bases...hahaha.

Mmm...I may be inclined to join in on this meet if it's in Vancouver, since I'm about a 30 minute drive away ;)

Ok, so here's an idea. I'm sure to much for some, but my favorite drive is the Sea to Sky hwy 99 up to Whistler. It's a blast to drive and Whistler is a great place to stop..haha. Figure meet in Vancouver somewhere and head to Whistler for the day then back down for dinner in Van.

Buying a 2009 Honda Element today! I've always wanted this car... and even more since they took the plastic siding off. Glad to be here and hopefully there will be a meet up soon. Totally game for that! I'll bring the cameras.

Also, (For some of us over on Van Isle) there is an 'all japanese show and shine' that a friend of mine is sponsoring Sun, June 24th in Victoria. He asked me to spread the word, and I thought we might be able to show up in force and take it over. Anyone else think this may be a fun time?
