HELP?!
I decided to wax the E last weekend and had the tunes playing with all doors open for about four hours...I think the dome light was on too, but not the rear dome...REAL DEAD BATTERY...Jumped the battery to start...Some city driving and three days later when I continue with my waxing project, after about an hour, another dead battery...MY QUESTIONS:
1. Given the situation as described, is the dead battery expected from this kind of useage or is there something else going on here? If this is normal, then the use of the audio system for extended periods could be a problem - no supplying tunes at the all night kegger...no triple feature dvd' movie night with your laptop on the dashboard and your sweetie in the passenger seat...
2. Will I need to put an industrial charge on the battery in order to bring it back up to fully charged, or will some modest city driving allow the alternator/voltage regulator to do an adequate job?

Even if you keep your tunes on for that long, you should always start up your car once in awhile and let it run for a bit...

Have you considered a solar panel to keep the battery up? I've seen a new type advertized that is 1/8" thick and flexible. I believe it's even magnetic.Roll it out on the roof and with a charge controler itwould definatly help. This might be a little pricy but may be the ticket if you plan to camp or anything.
