I've owned my Element since Labor Day weekend and I love it. But it is not perfect. Some ideas for future Elements:

• Working passenger door windows
• Power rear hatch window
• Available moon roof above front compartment
• Make internal and external plastic components more scratch-resistant
• Do a much better job making new buyers aware of add-ons. I had to go to this site and read the posts and and H and A ad AFTER I bought my Element to find out all that is available and since have purchased a number of items.
• Internal release for gas filler door
• Hanger hooks for dry cleaning, etc.
• Better fit for power accessory charger plugs
• Side curtain air bags
• A better mechanism for holding up rear seats when folded to the sides
• Go ahead and include the rear bumper protector and mud flaps as standard items. They need to be on a vehicle with plastic cladding such as the Element's.
• Make fog lights standard.
• Offer some kind of trash receptacle in the front, whether a basket that sits in front of the subwoofer or other solution
• Replace the change drawer with a coin holder such as found in Ford Explorer. Put the coin holder in...
• the now-standard arm rest console, replacing the lame little armrest that is standard now.
• Come up with a better system for setting brightness of dash lights. Current stem gets mixed up with odometer operation
• Option of steering wheel that not only tilts but also extends out to us long-armed, long-legged drivers.
• Vanity mirror on driver's side, so us older guys can check our ties in the mornings
• Pouches or pockets in the top sides of the visors, for holding parking passes, etc.
• An option for the overhead console, perhaps mounted on the flip-up door, with an information center showing outside temp, direction, gas mileage, etc.
• Power seat(s) option
• New alloy wheels that look a lot less like the EX standard wheels
• Optional door edge guards
• Better finish inside rear hatch edges
• Make legs for spare tire cover table standard
• Optional sound system controls mounted on steering wheel
• Extend protective floor covering over the edge below the doors of the drivers compartment. Most people tend to bump or drag their shoes across this hump and the current plastic covering quickly gets scratched and beat-up looking.
