Went to my local Wal-Mart last week and bought the Reverse Alert. You place the unit on the exterior of back up light and when your backing up the Alert sounds a "beeping" alarm to warn pedestrians or other vehicles that you are in reverse and backing down. The unit is about 1/2 inch by 1 inch and can be attached to either back-up light. I bought two and now have stereo back-up alarms. I would suggest you try the one you plan to buy in the store, under a convenient light, so you will be sure that it functions properly before you attach it to your Element. There is test hole on the back of the package for this purpose! The price was around three dollars and they claim it will give fifty hours of reverse "beeping". Such a Deal. All the best, Bostonblackie

Yeah, and what OTHER kind of car do you drive, a BoatTail Speedster, perhaps?
