I just wanted to share some pics of my project sub box. It's going to be loaded with an Infinity Perfect 12.1d powered by a Soundstream Rub500-1.
Some bracing

It's going between the front and rear seats, in the middle, like a center console. I decided to go with a trapezoidal shape so that I'd still be able to recline the front seats. It will be downfiring. If that doesn't work, I can always put it on it's side and have it fire to the rear.

It's almost done, I just can't decide if I will go with carpet or vinyl. I'm leaning towards vinyl to match the texture of the door panels and the other plastic parts.
That is an interesting design but I have some questions. Please keep in mind I am not an expert but have only worked only home audio speaker projects.
It looks like you are using plywood for your project. I have only used MDF for my speaker building projects because it is dimensionally stable and more dense then plywood. You may want to consider painting the interior with wood glue to fill in any minute gaps present.
With bracing I usually have it butt against all four wall with a large cut out in the middle. This will provide in a stronger internal bracing which pushs/pulls against 4 walls versus the 2 walls of your individual pieces. Finally if you change anything remember to recalculate you interior volume including the interior displacement of the sub.
In your case, since you are trying to blend it between the seats as a console, I would go with vinyl (or maybe paint). I don't think carpet would provide a console like free you are going for.

I'm no expert either. It is plywood, but 11-ply birch. I've read over @ jlaudio.com that birch or marine-grade plywood is a viable alternative to mdf. My 2x10 bass cabinet (I'm a bassist) is made of birch, so are both my 1x12 guitar cabs. Given those, I decided to give it a go. I wanted to use mdf but my local HomeDepot won't cut mdf. Uncut, it's too inconvenient for me to haul. Yes, I'm lazy like that.
The box is only a few points over 1ft^3 (1.05 ft^3). The spec sheet specified 1ft^3 internal volume for a sealed box, driver displacement included. I checked w/ Infinity about that before hand and they said to just build a 1ft^3 box, driver displacement was included in the design.
Since it's a small box, I figure I can get away with the method of bracing that I chose. The guess-culated displacement of the bracing is only a few points (0.04 ft^3). that should take care of the extra volume. The inside will be lined with 1" fiberfill, as per Infinity's instruction.
We'll see how it sounds, I'm still in the process of installing amps.
I am getting impatient, though. I might call in sick one of these days just to finish the project.
