I have a 2004 LX. So I do not have an AUX input in the dash or the subwoofer. I have the single din cd head unit.

What is the difference between the OEM single din radio and the other double din radio? At first glance they look the same except for the size of the radio.

I bought the HON03/pc-son PIE adapter but the connection in the back of my radio does not seem to be compatible. The double din seems to have the right connection. I really want to have an AUX input but do not want to spend much more money.

If i am not mistaken most if not all LX's of all years need the HON98 plug.

That is exactly what I had found. In the LX I believe I need the connection that the HON98-style has.

I assume in this case, when I connect the HON98 adapter, I would press the TAPE button on the radio to use the AUX, is that correct? I assume so since there is no tape player and the CD would be for the single CD player already built in.

But if I found the double din radio, does it have the pre-amp in it if I were to add the woofer at somepoint in the future? I already have the HON03 adapter and was going to have to return for the HON98.

Just trying to think longer term so I am not wasting time, money and energy on this.

Thank for the help.

Because any of those devises plug into the CD changer port on the back of the unit you would still push the CD button...same as it would function with the factory changer.

The EX style HU uses and external amp to power the subwoofer. If you wanted to add a factory subwoofer and amp you would have to do you own wiring since the LX doesn't have the amp and subwoofer wiring from the factory.
