I started on these almost 18 months ago, Outpost gave me some tips (Where are you Outpost ).

My objective was to put MB Quart PWE160 speakers in the rear doors without cutting any of the door panel (I did need to cut away 5/8" of the triangle on the backside of the speaker cover that snaps into the door). I'm going to post the pics, if anyone wants the pattern I can copy into a .pdf and mail to you.

Material is 1/2" plexiglas, speaker mount screws are 4x.7x12mm, spacer mount screws are ones you get with RTA cabinets, I can't remember the technical name of them.

I'll write this up if enough people ask but all of the pictures I have are below.

First time working with plexi, going to use some in my false floor next.

This is exactly the sort of info I have been looking for!!

I plan to drop in some MB Quart PCE216s in the stock front locations, and PCK216s (co-axial ) in the rear slots. My trial fitting of the front woofer showed a minor gap ( maybe 1/8 to 1/4 inch at most), but absolutely no mounting screw alignment. While others have said they just drove screws into the plastic, it would be nice to avoid it or minimize that if possible.

I'll have a go with making some brackets, perhaps template them with some fiberboard for fit, but this is a great idea.

And its nice to hear at least 1 other person is running MB Quart. Most of the posting folks seem to run with Infinity, Boston Acoustic, or Polk.
