Great Forum, lots of great info and walkthroughs, thanks for that. Unfortunately I need a bit of help.
I just recently installed a Metra AXXESS AIP-HD02-ID iPod to HONDA Car Adapter in my wifes Element. It worked like a champ when I plugged it all in but the next day when my wife went to work she couldn't change the stereo to the CD-C mode to listen to her iPod. I took everything apart again and made sure everything was connected properly at this point the cycle started again, worked great when I put everything back in but the next time my wife went for a drive she got nothing.
Has anyone had this problem with the Metra unit or any of the other iPod adapters?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, my wife keeps nagging me about it.

Forget about it, buying a new deck that doesn't need a 3rd party adapter.

Sorry nobody got back to you. I'm not 100% sure if this will help (even though it doesn't matter with the new deck) but I had the Alpine iDA-x001 in my old car and I know my girlfriend's nano wasn't supported. It was weird because you could plug in a flash drive (it had usb and ipod connector) but a nano wouldn't work. Kind of weird.
