A buddy of mine just got a 2008 Element and has some big plans for it. We went out and took a couple shots last weekend, I thought I'd share a couple with you. We'll document the buildup as it goes along.

initial plans are to throw a bigger set of tires on there (235s BFG AT/KOs) and getting a custom roof rack built. He wanted to throw a small lift on it, but it doesn't look like there's anything too simple out there.

Interior is getting a nice understated custom stereo.

As for me, I have an Xterra and need the 4wd to pull a boat, so I won't be getting rid of that anytime soon. But I will say my 5 year old LOVES riding in the Element alot more than my Xterra. LOL

Cool! Love the photography aspect of the pictures. Your friend's E looks like it's growling with that lower grill thingie (girl terms, here). I like it. :) AND, I will also throw out there, now YOU need to get an E. You'll love it!

it looks like the same as previous years to me... maybe different because it doesn't have the front tag bracket?

it actually appears to have a 2003-2006 front bumper. the new ones (07-08) bulge out a bit more than the previous years.

Yeah - Its the standard 2008 front end. What you're seeing is the shiny new - undinged - condenser.

He took the pic from the left so the condenser looks like a gutter-guard because it goes all the way across your view of the lower grill.

Check out the pics here (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3552&page=32&highlight=Gutter+Guard) and you can see what the difference looks like and why it looks like a gutter guard even though it's not.

Nice looking E by the way!

Great looking E!! Great pics, too. BTW - How do you like the Xterra? My wife was thinking of trading her mini-van in for one. I just don't like where the spare tire is located.

Actually the 07-08 LX's has what appears to be the older style bumper,
and only the EX has the larger guards. I only recently notice this when I was
comparing the two side by side on our lot.

Don't make me start throwing barrels at you.

Bring it on. I can jump over them or smash them with an oversized hammer.
