Hey Rob - I hate to admit it but you're so right. Man, I gotta get a life. Guess what I was doing today. Naw, not washing The Rube - but - washing Mrs. Rube's van. Yeah, I gave her the special treatment also (wash, clean the inside, shine the wheels). Now I will allow her to park next to me.:lol::lol: Hope all is well with you and the family. Look forward to (maybe) catching up with you in L.I.

I need to take some new pics once the rain stops up here (so that will be like 2 months from now.. LOL), but here's some pics of mine. I bought this 2003 AWD EX to haul my drum kit around.. got a lot of miles on it, but it's in good shape overall. I took these pics at the dealer when I first test drove it.

Since I bought it I took the roof rack off, installed Sirius satellite radio, added the armrest console, and put a carpet kit in it. I also took off the dealer badges and plate frames..

bassplayer, any word on the SC bumper yet? and are you sitting on coilovers?

bassplayer5504
11-19-2008, 08:32 PM
The bumper is at home and I'm at school. I may have time to start sanding it down and prepping it for paint this weekend. I do need to go paint shopping and see what is out there that would come close to matching. Probably will be too cold this weekend to paint, unless I find somewhere to paint that it a little warm. I am moving back home tomarrow for the break! YAY!!!

Hoping my HKS exhaust came also! I'll keep you posted!

I'm on Eibach springs. I also have another secret project going on. The project isn't a secret, just what it is. It could turn out exellent, or be a total bomb.

Stay tuned!

Those are $15 seat covers bought at the local Wal-Mart. They go on easy and stay on. I had to get them because Mr. Jojo kept putting his drink between his legs and staining the passenger seat.
I can't get real covers because I have side airbags, these don't cover the sides so theyre good.

Hmm, I guess they don't sell it on H&A.

Either way, I went the way of "Bill Kay Honda" via their online store. Looks like all the parts will run $600+ shipped (depending on type of shipping). That doesn't even include installation...

That is a center console from an SC. It will fit an 03 just like it fit in my 04. There is a guy that takes them out of SC Elements that he converts for handicap accessible. He then sells all the parts on ebay for about $180 including the emergency brake assembly. Search and you will find an entire thread on this and a step by step on doing the mod. Best mod I ever did to my Element.

To hunt down the now collectible and no longer made SOP, you must have the eye of a hawk, the testicular fortitude of a bull, and a mind so sharp it could slice through cardboard like it was unsalted melted butter. It isnt an easy task and requires much patience... i stalked my 04 SOP for 80 days straight! Restroom break? I DONT THINK SO! I didnt eat, sleep, or drink for 79 of the 80 days... and on the 80th day it came to me in a vision...

actually i just used cars.com or autotrader but the "hunt" sounds much better.

Oh and good luck finding one, your daughter will/should be very happy with it ;)

Well the Element crashed today but it did a good job of protecting my daughter. Some idiot didn't tie down his new mattresses and one flew off right in front of my daughter. She went off the road, over a big snow berm landing backward and on the Element's side. Besides the front end (note one wheel back farther than the other). The passenger door caved in and that seat airbag deployed. A rear axel also broke. All good things come to an end.

I posted the picture of my crashed Element a few posts up. Just wanted everyone to know that I just purchased a beautiful 2007 Element today...it's in my garage and all is right with the world again.

What color?
I couldn't find Orange so... I went with Galaxy Gray. ... but I still might do orange accents inside. I loved my SOP but this one is really nice and was a good buy. I like the updated safety features and will pick some color to use on the inside. I'm using orange, yellow or red on the inside. I still have lots of orange things (bungee cord for the rear seat), orange blankets so I might go that way. All my road bikes are red mostly so maybe I'll do that. I really like yellow with gray so I might go that way... let the mods begin AGAIN!

Love the picture, cause it looks like my house, on the left, my old SOP (before being totaled) on the right, my WHITE CUBE !!!!!!
