Darth Raider has been off the streets since last October. Even though it's not finished, I decided it's time to share some pix.

What are you doing with your OE rims?

Regards,

I had to wait for over two months for my rims to come from Japan, so that gave me plenty of time to sell the others even before they came off the ride.

From any Honda dealership, it's called a Front Bumper Trim.

Ghost, what are you working with? I'm sure WE all would like to see what your preferences are.

Chief, Darth Raider is truly a work of art! From the 3pc wheels that cost in excess of some peoples monthly take home pay for 3 to 4 months, to the tri-color paint job. I'm not going to get into the custom leather interior, carpet on the floor, the under suspension work that's been and I'm barely scratching the surface and I'm not going to count the stuff that came and went via trial and error or change in preferences and taste. Yea, it looks good! Don't worry about those who come on here after having drank their daily dose of Hater-aide and make comments that aren't worth the power to run their CPU's to make the hate statements! After all, until they start making payments on your ride, their opinions don't really matter. Oops, I forgot, Darth Raider is PIF! Paid In Full. All the haters can take a sip of that and don't miss your meeting in the ladies room!

Peace!

I'm not sure if you edited your original comment or the moderators but I did see it within my notification email. Like I said, and have said before, Darth Raiders ride is smokin'! His and several others on this forum and I give props where props are due. Pretty much can't get anything more but a "Nice color choice" or "I have the same color and it's the best"! off this forum. For many, signing papers from the dealership and parking it in your parking space of your apartment complex is the biggest mod that will take place or be done.

Seems like those who haven't done jack or in laymens terms, have done nothing to their Element have the most criticism to offer no matter how polite or slight it may be offered. That's why we always ask, what cha working with doc?

Chief,

Very nice! Question - I'd like to do the same with paint on the lower panels, I have my front bumper trim already painted but would like to got the rest of the way around. Did you paint or have it done? I guess that anyone who knows how to paint can mask off the front bumper and make it look nice.

Keep posting pics, do you have any interior ones?

funcar4me
04-26-2008, 10:45 PM
Wow it looks like a completely different car. I like how the top half blends together and the trim pieces don't stand out as much. And I love the three tones.

Will you do my MM like that (well I have to win the lottery first)?

Please post more pictures when you get a chance so I can dream a little bit.

Ghost, you're entitled to your opinion and I only seen a polite response saying it wasn't your cup of tea (also with a smiley face). Although we always like the good comments....I'd rather you be honest and polite than offer an empty reply.

I'd also like to see some interior pics Chief :)

This afternoon, I had the pleasure of seeing Chief's tri-toned E. Words just cannot describe it. You really have to see it in person!

Chief, you have one of the nicest E's in this forum. The leather interior is just awsome. I think that we were just so awe struck, that everyone forgot to get pic's of the interior. Well thought out modifications and that tri-tone paint job is something to behold. I can't wait for the other surprises you are about to execute. Nonetheless, what a beautiful Element, one of a kind! You might need to take it to the National Meet in June :D. Just planting the seed .

: ) That means a lot to me... // Haha, the SC conversion is holding up well so far. Still need to work out something with the homemade DRL's - accidentally melted part of the radiator cover but thats another story. As for the rims... -_- If they ever decide to show up I'll finally get some pics up of the exterior.

...man. Even after looking at it a second time I got the same reaction. It is just so well done. Truly, Darth Raider is a work of art.

Edit: I can't even find anything to suggest to change. It's just perfect. Seriously, what an incredible job. (ok ok I'm done now). Made one of the side shots my wallpaper. Just can't stop ogling it.

I think it looks AWESOME! Personally, I love the 3 tone paint job. I have seen a few other Elements with the top painted black and actually before I even owned an Element or saw a picture of it done, I had the idea to do that. Someday maybe I will! The ONLY thing I don't care for (would change if it were mine) would be the running boards/steps. Keep on doin your thing!

Thanks Jay,

Your E is pretty damn sweet itself, and that double 'sunroof' is some thing that I had only seen pictures of. It was great to actually see a Webasto sunroof in person, and see how it looks and how it works. I also can't believe how nice you DPE's came out, and the fact that you painted the centers yourself. Your wife was incredibly understanding to let you pull it off in the living room! :D She is very special and must really love E's!!!

Sometimes the wrong rims can look a little weird on an E but yours are perfect. They fit so well.

:) Thanks for sharing the pics Chief! I feel privilege to have seen the growth of Darth Raider over the winter. The advanced pics, the thoughts and impressions, even your asking my opinion on certain things as I do you. D.R. is truly a specimen worthy to b called "Eye Candy"! I'm not jocking as someone else so rudely wanted to say. I'm a 51yr old man who knows a good looking ride when I see it and don't have a problem giving someone their propers! I know when I get the Precious out on the streets, no matter how rare that is, I see other Element owners looking on "Low Low" as if not to admire what's been done to it. I have no problem with that but I'm not a hater. If your stuff is kicking, I'm going to let you know of such. The ride has received rave reviews during this post and has gotten accolades from many who have been on this forum since it's inception and have valued opinions and are well respected amongst this community.
All this being said, I strongly suggest to T MAC and the powers that be, to induct Darth Raider into the EOTM Shrine. It is Hall of Fame material worthy of any mag cover and photo spread. There have been well over 1000 views of this post which says something for itself nothing, nothing but positive comments and tons of jealous owners scrambling to see what they can do to do something along these lines, if not exact, just pieces of it. Everything tastefully done and it flows! Definitely representing the West Coast/SoCal unique way of modding. Can't wait to see the next things you have planned. Since I already know what they are and have seen sneak peaks, it looks like I may have to take out another loan to keep up. Dang I hate you spending my money for me!

Really wish you could have brought it to the meet in June but I understand your sentiments and feelings on Ohio.
Take care bro and catch you on our weekly conference call.

Peace!

Wrong. He gave his opinion and I agree. Personally, I think that the 3 tone looks silly. Change the light silver to black and I think it would look better. That is my opinion. Don't post here if you do not want feedback.

We all the love the E and it's versatilty. Some use it for camping/road trips, and some for street/show/vip. We can all agree on one thing. We bought an Element.

Where was the paint job done at? I want to start modding soon, and the exterior paint job is what I'm gonna get done first...as soon as I graduate and start working...weeeeee! Oh yeah, are those DIY blacked out headlights or did you buy those on eBay when they were still available? I'm saddened that I can't buy the ones that were being sold on eBay anymore.

Let Chief be for now, he'll come back when/if he wants to. Like those who've befriended him, we miss him. Those who keep in touch with him had a hand at seeing his E and recent additions, or at least know of a way to contact him. His E is definitely coming along nicely.
