Folks,

I have done some searching and I really love my silver 04 element. I am looking to install or have installed a Garmin antenna as well as a sirius Stiletto 100 (car kit) installed with antenna. I came across the mod where you remove the rear right plastic on the roof and mount the antennas under there. Will this interfere with a Yakima roof rack? How are people mounting the car kit to the inside of the dash board???? Bolts, ram mount, what????? I have a ipod and I just place it into the dash board. I would love to get some help here. My garmin unit is the 60 CS-X and I just have the suction cup holder for the windshield.

I havent had the trim off the roof myself. But from what i seen when Genom did his hidden antenna mod there should be plenty of room for the antenna wire with out interfereing with your roof rack.

I use a bracketron mount for my i-pod.

I have it mounted on the under side of the passnger side dash. I will try and post a picture when i get home tonight.

I have put my antenna under the roof cladding. Easy to do and fast.
