Okay, people have talked about this but nothing's happened, so I'm gonna try to host one myself! I guess a month notice will suffice, and Saturdays seem to be the best day for people, so lets say for now Sat. May 31st? We can meet on the roof of the parking garage I run at 5pm, yak for an hour, then walk around the corner to my friend's Thai restaurant for good food! After that we can yak a bit more and enjoy the view, then maybe make a victory lap through downtown.

Lake Eola is nearby if people want to make a day of it before or after.
I just have to ask that this be a family friendly meeting, no booze or anything, no skateboards or bikes.

Humm... well. I will actually be leaving the state on the 31st. Which means I may be able to stop by for just a little bit, considering im gonna be driving straight to Texas. Give me good directions, and if its not to far off the highway we may stop by!!

Cool! Just in case anyone's wondering, the Thai restaurant isn't too pricey. The main courses are around $10 to $12 bucks, and dress is casual. They do not serve wine or alcohol.

nah, we are a pre-paid monthly garage, we don't do hourly/day parking unless it's 4th of July or something. Everyone that normally parks there mon-fri has a permit. Unauthorized cars at any other time get towed. I will prob'ly put a sign at the end of the street that says 'E' and one at the entrance of the garage saying 'E'. Just drive up to the roof! If by some chance it's raining we'll gather at ground level. Entrance is at the blue booth, do NOT park on the Avis car rental side. I'll re-cap all this a day or two before the meet.

We thought of meeting up maybe every few months for dinner! As long as there are no events going on (near lake Eola) that the parking garage would be full. The Thai place was yummy and I would like to try something else on the menu!! Spencer being the gracious host had name tags for everyone and had a table ready at the restaurant for us. Oh yeah an plenty of parking!! There were four of us at one time. The fourth member had spotted the meet up on the site that day and swung by to check it out! I will start a new thread on a bi/tri monthly dinner meet and great!

Did you guys happen to take any pics and if so how about some posts, and I think the bi-monthly meet is a good idea. And totally bummed about missing the last meet.
