I am new to this board. Just purchased blue 4wd auto. The ride was quite surprising to me in that the CRV was touted as being great by two co-workers of mine! I drove both and have to say the Element was by far a much smoother ride in that it moderated the road bumps better overall and just does not have that stiff hard truck ride you would expect. The ride is different in that you have to get used to the suspension "wave out" over bumps which is minimal. I can honestly say I am very happy with all characteristics of this vehicle. One has to keep in mind this is omnly a $ 22,000 vehicle.[/b]

My wife has a 01 CRV and going back and forth between that and the Element, makes me feel it is a little too bumpy over the same sections of the roads and bumps. Anyway to make it a little less bumpy, or is this just tighter suspension? I am on stock suspension and hear the kids complain sometimes.

You could just move down here to the SF Bay Area, we have really nice smooth roads! Unfortunately you and your family would have to live in the E because housing prices are still rediculous!

Sorry... I got nothin'

Well, I had a Jeep Wrangler so my E is as smooth as silk. Plus, I find my E has a nice ride than most vehicles in its class. A lot better than my wife's TrailBlazer.

My wife has an 05 CRV and I have an 05 E. I think the CRV is quieter and maybe a wee bit smoother, most likely because of the seats, rather than the suspension. I am not a honda engineer, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn last week.:D

Actually, I will be taking a trip in her CRV tomorrow, and I will take notes.

What tire pressures do you guys use? Factory recommended?
