It is a really mild (nice) float and very good trout fishing. If memory serves me the river leaves the dam and makes a bend to the left (downstream)In the middle fo the river is a small Island. The first time I went fishing there, I climbed onto the island and immediately noticed that no vegetation was growing below 4 feet or so. Everything in the trees above that level was just fine. "Man, some nutcase has flipped out with a weed eater" I thought. When I got to the far end of the island there was the answer. 4 goats (don't know if they got on the island by themselves or someone put them there) had "pruned" everything from the ground level to as high as they could reach on their hind legs. Had a good chuckle about that one. :D By the way, thanks for the pics. :) ORANGEE 05-11-2008, 09:27 PM That is a really nice little park in Mammoth Spring where the Spring River comes from underground (Missouri) and just gushes up in a small lake in the park in the town of Mammoth Spring.
