: Burned CD's

Does anyone know if the factory-installed single CD/radio deck on an 07 LX can play burned CD's?

The reason I ask is my old '00 Toyota Echo played any CD, be it industry or self-made. My '04 Nissan Xterras CD/radio deck, however, choked and died when I put in one of my self made CDs and I had to go to a dealership to have them extract the CD out of the deck. They then pointed out in my owners manual where it says that the Xterra couldn't take any CD's but the industry made ones.

I can't find any info on this aspect with the Element, and I sure don't want to take a chance of killing the CD player and having to take it to a Honda dealership to have it fixed! Once bitten, twice shy ;)

Any answers, experience or insight is very much appreciated!!

I haven't add any problems on either of my E's (both EX models) with burned discs. I have seen problems in our shop with customers bringing in cd's with labels stuck onto them gettign stuck in the player.

No problem,

It is damp and cold and depressing here today.

That sounds like a cry for help. You need some quality time with your son playing with his wood blocks.

It's really hot here today...in the 90's and LOTS of dry brush fires popping up around here *sigh*

I was in California a few weeks ago and it was warmer here than it was there.

I don't know about '07, but my '05 LX will play burned music CD's with no problem. However, it will not play data CDs with MP3 files on them like the EX will. Make sense?

Burned CD's seem to work fine in both our E's- Just do not use LABELS!! They come off inside car decks all the time and screw up the mechanism.

Hence one of the reasons I'm replacing my LX head unit with an EX head unit - I want to listen to my mp3 cd's :D
