: Stock XM antenna on AM Head Unit?

I see that several people have attempted to figure this out but no one has responded to my PMs, so I thought I'd ask everyone.

I saw the nice link installing an aftermarket XM antenna under the plastic trim on the roof, but I'd still rather use the stock XM antenna on my aftermarket XM tuner.

Has anyone figured out how to rewire it or make a new cable to convert it?

I dont know if it will be helpful but if you want I can provide you with the wiring diagram from the 2007 honda element service manual? It gives all the wires and colours for the XM receiver connector Inputs and outputs. I also have a Circuit Diagram for the entire audio system. Let me know!

Thanks, but i've found the element antenna where it plugs into the Stock XM receiver and all i need now is to figure out how to splice it. I think I need a TNC or SMA RG174 male and female clamp type plug set, as I dont have crimpers and cant afford to buy a set for 2 crimps :P I want to put one on my AM XM tuner antenna wire and one on the Stock XM antenna so i can connect the two and use the stock XM antenna on the AM XM tuner.

Whoot, it was easy. Once I had the connectors and the crimper (about $40), it was a matter of snipping my AM antenna off the end of the wire and snipping the end of the stock antenna plug off. Put a male on one and a female on the other and it worked great!
