HELLO EVERYONE!
Just wanted to tell everyone the great time me and nyokie had at the Catskills meet. We were the only 2 elements there but it was a great trip. It was a total of 8 honda's. 2 E's, 3 1st generation CRV's & 3 2nd generation CRV's. It was a 2 day romp through the Caskill mountains. Nyokie went the whole weekend and did some serious offroading with the E on the first day. I wimped out and came on Sunday to do a little light offroading but it was heavy enough for me. Got to see how the E works on steep inclines & just barreling down a mountain in low gear. All differnent types of terrain from paved roads to gravel roads to just plain rocks! Banged the bottom a couple of times but no permanent damage. In fact my E came through with out a scratch. I'll have nyokie post his experience off roading. We drove for 5 hours up and down all differnet parts of the mountain. After the first half of the day we had a barbecue near a pond that we came across the map. It was a good experience for me but I would not recommend doing it alone. If you get stuck up there you are literally screwed. The HondaSUV group are a great bunch of people. I learned a lot more about my wife's 1st generation CRV and Nyokie and I introduced them to the E. Lot's of fun and met a lot of good people. I am posting the link where all the pics are at.
