I don't think it's Photoshop. The proportions of the text match those of the E, and it follows the curves of the photo. Even with good Photoshop-ing, there'd be artifacts on the text.

Were you kidding? Sometimes its hard for me to tell. Spending time on Digg has made me cynical to these things.
