Cheaper than a billboard, and unlike a billboard these things can go with you (or to crowds.)

How much does a billboard lease cost?

Each one of those Elements is at least $8,000 to wrap.

The biilboard sign on the right of the foto below leases for about $1,000,000 a month.

How much is a realistic billboard?

And how many millions see the billboard a month?

I think you mean reasonable, as in price, but much more per month than the SC & wrap cost of $30,000 over three years.

I don't know the traffic counts on the Santa Monica Freeway, but most metro areas including the James Wendell Parkway in DT ATL, would be similar.

A full body wrap on a Honda Element can be done (design, printing, installation) for about $4,000 (a 3/4 wrap would only be about $2,400). This wrap will last for about 3 years.

A billboard in a medium sized city would cost about $2,000/mo.

Cost of a car wrap per month = $4,000/36 months = $111/mo.

As you can see it is significanty CHEAPER to purchase a car wrap than it is to purchase a billboard.

Besides people are so used to seeing a billboard that most hardly pay attention any more. If you see one of those Elements driving down the road you are going to notice it!

I do vehicle wraps and things of that nature and I can tell you that the element is not in the range of 8 grand to wrap. more like 3-4 at the most. closer to 3 when you get four of them done at once.

wrapping a car is no longer $8,000.00 I would sure like to charge that, but being a graphic designer and owning a printing company, a full wrap with custom graphics can run $2800.00 which also last anywhere from 4 to 5 years with the right media. (ink, vinyl, laminate) on an "E".

I have always wanted to wrap my e for my entertianment service and I am finally going to do it. I can't wait. I have just gotten the design together and will be sending my car out on Friday for the job. I swaped out the fenders on the 03 for the ex-p fenders which comes as smooth plastic and we tested them to see if the wrap would work... and it works great. There will be some minor changes but I have included the design. I will be glad to show the finished product.

Here in Indianapolis I have seen a couple wrapped E's. One is a lawncare service and the other is an HVAC company.

I have debaged, changed out the fenders to ex-p fenders and mounted a third brake light outside the tailgate. All textured fenders have been bubble wraped and placed in one rear fender box from honda awaiting a new home. I also have changed out all silver bumper covers to black. Drop off is Friday.

Nice idea for your wrap. I do wraps here in Montreal and we didn't a few for cell phone company a few years back. That's how my wife saw her first "e" and fell in love.... for the second time!! Elements are a breeze to wrap, I would do 'em for $2000 or less if I had 4 to do. If anyone has any questions about wraps, signage, etc., just send me a message.

I got my E fully wrapped ('03 and didn't wrap the plastic bits) for $2,000 flat. It was done by Matthews Graphics and they did a GREAT job! 3M vinyl and everything. It looks great. I would recommend anyone who wants to get their E wrapped to go to them. They were by far the cheapest of any place I checked and I have absolutely zero complaints. I have had it for a little over a month now and it looks just as good as the day I got it.

Thanks. I seem to be the talk of the town. In two weeks I have a church carnival on Fri,a Block Party on Sat and a Car Show on Sun. All these events I will be playing right out of the truck. Can't wait. Bring on the business.

Here is a slide show of all sides before & after. E-Wrap Of SP-1 (http://www.spinnersplus.com/archives/2008/08/post_1.html)

I had added red brake shields behind the wheels which still look great chief...thanks.

I'm actually going to do some graphics on my E here shortly, probably not a wrap though, I don't wanna put graphics on my paint.

Definately doesn't cost $8000 to do vehicle wraps anymore. A high quality wrap is priced very close to what a decent paint job runs (in the $2500 range), while there are "wrap factories" who can do them under $1000. Those kind of prices are only found in areas where the wrap business is very competitive, and usually by shops who specialize in wraps.

//works at a sign shop. does vehicle graphics all day. ;-)

A wrap is the best protective layer for your paint. I have learned that Vinyl graphics will leave marks when removed, but a wrap can easily be removed and has no effect on the paint or its surface. If I had a new car I would be glad to wrap it knowing that the paint would be perserved for the length of time the wrap was on. Breing that my car had a few years I was glad to cover the rainspots and imperfections that come with age.

I Run a DJ entertainment service for a living but have learned alot about wraps as I was investigating having it done. I still can't get used to the heads turn when I am on the road. I guess that means it is doing its job. this was the best bang for my advertising dollar. I Love Me E!
