Welcome to the club! There are not too many people here from St. Lous.....but always wantng to hook up wth other owners.

What type of E do you have? I'll keep my eyes peeled for you!

I have the sunset orange pearl EX 4wd manual, with cardinal plates, but the end of the weekend I will have the side steps and the fog lights installed. Just got them in from h and a accessories. I am usually around I-44 during the week and all around town on the weekends

A for-real club is usually a lot of work to get going and keep going (...voice of experience...), so we might not be ready for that just yet. But if we want to think about informal events, count me in even though my E is still future tense. Bear in mind that the weather is going to get really icky pretty soon for anything other than meeting for a beer somewhere.

Agreed, the weather is gonna get worse, but it would be cool if a ride / get together, could take place with the leaves changing before winter sets in, also I thought it would be an idea to kick around with a club during the winter to get something ready for spring.

OK, I'll start the ball rolling... I'm booked the next two weekends, but 11/1-2 looks good for me. As far as a place, I think Babler Park would be a good "in the middle" rendezvous. If we wanted to plan around eating (which I have learned is a mandatory part of the club experience in St. Louis), SuperSmokers in Eureka would be a good place to go as long as we don't get into dinner hours.

I realize that most of the leaves will be on the ground by then, but that's the best I can do.

Count us out for the frst weekend in November....we are going to Chicago to see my Nephews for Halloween, but if anyone is interested, we are heading out the the wineres the followng weekend with a couple of friends....it will be our second annual "Fall Grape Escape"

Any deeper into November is going to get really dicey, weather-wise. So any other StLouis E's lurking about want to chime in here? Three is critical mass for an "event".

I'm suddenly seeing a lot more, too, and as you know I don't get out that much. (The commute is down the stairs to the basement office.) What is surprising me is that all of the E colors appeal to me now. That's odd for me... really!

Anyway... seriously? The E's time has come. The concept of putting the "S" and the "U" back in SUV is overdue. That's my gripe with the Escape. It's a nice, tall-ish station wagon with 4WD, like the Tercel wagons of 15 years ago (anybody remember those?). But that's all it is.

No, no joy yet. 11/1-2 and 11/8-9 weekends are now booked for me, anyway, so it's going to have to be 15-16 or 22-23, or we'll likely have to wait until after the holidays.
