I would like to see Honda acknowledge that there are rattles in some Element's "B" posts and send a TSB to the dealers concerning its fix. I went to the dealer today and left my Element for the entire day, to fix the rattles, the end result was " I didn't hear a rattle and this is the first I heard of this problem, also Honda does not have a TSB for this." So if there is no TSB then apparently the problem does not exist! I actually saw the technician do the repair as suggested on the "A" post , I guess because he had the TSB for that. The only problem, that has NOT been a problem at all. Go figure. I guess that means no TSB no fix! Regards, Bostonblackie

I have to agree. My Element's B posts rattle a lot, especially on bumpy roads.
Yours is the first post I've seen. Sometimes the rattle is not as apparent, it seems after re-opening and closing the doors.
It also seems to be worse in very cold or very hot weather, but less at moderate temps.

I have the same problem and have been looking for someone else to mention it here. I was beginning to think I was the only one. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it is very distracting because the noise from the B pillar appears to come from just behind my left ear. I would describe it as more of a sound of two rubber door seals rubbing together and pulling apart. Kinda hard to explain.
I have tried to open and close the doors so the seals can reset but it usually doesn't help. The next time I get in the E, the problem is usually gone. I does seem to be related to the weather. Rain and extreme temps seem to make it more likely to occur.

There's a TSB on door pillar rattle, which may, or may not, be what you're describing. If it is, the dealer can (well, should be able to) fix it.

Can someone please post the TSB for the B-pillar rattle. I have the same problem and have made an appointment for next Tursday with the Honda dealership. I would like to be armed with a little more information before going there. Please post the TSB or let me know where I can find it. Thanks!

Wait. The forum seems to be missing most of the TSBs.
You might have to search over at hondasuv.com

This forum is great! Thanks for all of the feedback. I'm due this week for my 10k service. I'll have them check out the rattle and will let you know how it goes.

Make sure your seatbelt buckle is not bumping the hard plastic. Everytime I think I have a rattle, it is just the passenger seatbelt.

Here's the deal, The striker on the rear door or doors are out of adjustment. Honda published this in thier September Service News letter. There are shims available if needed. If your Dealer says there is no service bulliten, they are correct but it doesn't mean Honda doesn't see a potential problem. Have the service dept. refer to page 20-31 of the Factory service manual for the repair procedure.
