My wife and I are fulltimers in an RV. I tow a Wrangler behind my Winnebago now, but we're seriously looking at an Element. I understand the 4WD Automatic is towable, but is the 2WD? I looked in the 4WD owner's manual, the instructions are under "Towing Behing A Motorhome", and I think the info was on Page 198. Can someone PLEASE confirm that the 2WD Auto is towable? Has anyone else used the Element as a tow vehicle? Thanks!!

Can someone please check their owner's manual for an answer on the towability of the 2WD? I think it's on page 198 or so.

Don't see an answer to this question. Is the 2WD Automatic towable on the ground?

For what it's worth, here are a couple of threads from another forum:

Sounds like the answer is yes, but your best bet is check with a dealer and get the manufacturer's recommended procedure in writing like the one guy did for the CRV.
