Greetings,
I haven't yet owned or driven an Element, but was recently invited out in one. The interior was a mess, but it's a truck!! Next morning, I was washing a pickup and when the friend who owns the E asked me to clean her ride, I went to town. Step 1: took a Ridgid Shop Vac and BLEW out the interior using the long hose and snorkel. Once the dust settled, I switched back over to the vaccuum and swooshed around (Found over $1 in loose change). Step Two: I took Simple Green from a 1 gallon concentrate, diluted it with water, took a smonge and wet mopped the vinyl floor, dash, door panels, and everything I could find. Seats were also cleaned and touched up with Febreeze. Glass was cleaned with Foaming non-amonia based Sprayway.
Late in the day as we got ready to leave, she said it was the cleanest vehicle she had ever driven.
In summary, a clean E is a happy E. Only thing is, she now wants everything in the house to look and smell this good!!!
Sometimes you just can't win:)
