Dear Honda,
I just bought the galapagos green E this weekend and love it! However, I would like to have had additional color choices. I am a thirty-something mother of 2 and would love to have had something bolder from which to choose. May I suggest for future model years: Sunburst Yellow Metallic (a bright yellow); Demon Purple Metallic (a deep rich purple); Pink Passion Metallic (a bright fuschia/magenta); Red Flame Metallic (self-explanatory); Irridescent Pearl Metallic (barely off-white and takes on the colors around it.)

You are a wild one Grasshopper! I have a Honda Motorcycle that is like a demon purple metallic, so at least we know they can mix that color! I bet they get a wider variety in the 05's. Heck I'm proud of Honda for making an Orange and a Green!

I love my EBP, but you are right I felt the choices were rather limited.

Hmm... I s'pose it's a matter of expectations. I thought that the current six colors offer a phenominal selection... for Honda, that is. The four times I bought a Honda vehicle before, there were three colors to choose from... period!

:D To all: thanks for responding...I, too am thankful for the green and the orange color choices - I must be having an early mid-life crisis to be thinking so wild - or maybe it's my teenager keeping me young! I thought of another color - Kiss Me Metallic (a silvery pale mauve) - that'd be pretty!

I'm lovin the cranberry! Not sure about the sky blue - I'd have to see it - but I am a Carolina girl, so it's all good!

Everytime I see a Cranberry colored Xterra on the road I say "That would look so good on an E".....so I would have to agree with the suggestion.

Also, while I love the GG, I think the E would also look great in a deep, rich hunter green metallic.

I agree about needing more color choices. I chose by process of elimination. Bright racy red would have been my first choice.

After seeing the Xenon Blue Element from the SEMA show, I am sure it would be the #1 seller if it were a stock color. Thats an awesome color!!!

Please remember that the "E" was/ is marketed to the male, 20~30 age group. men see in only 16 colors like windows® default, also is fuschia really a color?? I always thought it was a fruit like mauve 8)

just kidding everyone

I agree with adding a "racing" yellow. An example would be the yellow used in Corvette C5. Not a bright yellow but a more serious tone. The contrast with the gray and black plastic panels would be kick-@$$!

:D From the moment I saw it, it was the SOP for me. I don't think I would have chosen any other color, even if it were available. But then, I'm not sure, all the colors so far seem to be outstandings. Except of course, that Yellow..

Just my take.. Hey Carolina girl, I'm one too.. :D Hickory here, but living in DC metro..

E On!!

I thought white would be a nice color- making the Element look something like a saddle shoe :) Plus, it would be nice to have a lighter color for those of us who brave 100+ degree whether for several months of the year.

Might look like a Panda. I would have liked to have seen a white one (GRF*) before buying. I like white, but probably still would have gotten the SOP.

Great imagery Kirsten, I think it would be cute, but where are you gonna find those red crepe tires? Stay far, far away from Kayakin' Dan's neighborhood with it, though!

I have an Orange 2003 Element, but I would have probably bought a yellow one if Honda made a color similar to Nissan X-terra yellow.

Also, regarding folks suggesting that Honda make white, am I the only one who sees the Satin Silver Metallic Elements from a distance and thinks they're white for a sec?

I chose orange because it's a warm color and contrasts very well with the darker paneling.... The silver seems to contrast well, too, although I would never buy a car in a color in silver or gold since those colors are so prevalent on sedans. My second color choice was black--in keeping with my Munster-like dark side. :)

The blue and green do not contrast enough with the paneling to excite me.

One of the main reasons I bought the Element instead of the CR-V was color choices. CR-V , big yawn on the colors. Same for the Pilot.

If the Element had come in bright yellow (dare I say like the Hummer H2? :P ) or classic bright red I would've gone for those in a second. I guess combining the two is orange..Hence my SOP. I love my SOP but yellow and red would really look nice on the Element.

Instead of offering more exterior colors, how about making more matching interior colors. I am planning on getting the GGM '05 just because I like the green seat and dash accents, but if the SOP had orange accents I would jump on it. Not safety orange, but a darker orange kinda like the SOP color itself. Hey think of all the forementioned colors with matching interiors. Yes, I realize the additional cost, but if that is an issue why do the have the green or blue at all?

Eze, I agree. And that was the deciding factor for me too. I was thisclose to getting SOP until I saw that the GGM had a color-coordinated interior, which to me adds a little fun to the funkiness. Maybe that's why I also don't pine for having custom painted dash pieces ...

And if it weren't for the outdoorsy/serious utility nature of the E, it would likely already have had some sort of yellow from the git-go. Then again, once Honda learns who's really buying these things, yellow makes a perfect sense. I think slightyly reddish yellow would be awesome, kinda like some Land Rovers and Xterras. Not bright, sunny yellow. That's too-Suzuki Aero, too-Chevy Cavalier.
