I have to admit, my element actually suprised me this past weekend. It was the first time that I have towed anything with it so I didn't know what to expect. On Friday I pulled my bike to the dragstrip about an hour away from the house. The next morning I headed to Charlotte with it. The element did great. The only part of the drive that I didn't like was the WV Turnpike. It amazes he how rough that road is, especially pulling a trailer.
Anyway, here's a lousy picture of the Element with the bike in tow.

Nice choice on the trailer and nice bike too.
I will forget I am towing my HF trailer in many instances because it is so light and the E pulls it well. The rough roads will always remind me in a hurry that it's still back there though.

We had the same experience last year returning from GOBA => http://www.goba.com/. Two bikes on the rear, one on the roof, two duffel bags on the roof and six more in the E along with 3 adults. The 18 wheelers were climbing the hills with less effort than we were.

Given the E's towing capacity; I'm suprised that you chose to pull the bike rather than the other way around.;-)
Nice bike...and E.

Great looking bike!
I find it a little odd that they've understated the E's towing capacity the way they have...I've found that the E pulls very well - better than most other vehicles I've towed with! Maybe the design engineers accidentally hit on the 'right' combination of engine/frame/height/stance...:D
What's not surprising is the number of other owners who are 'surprised' when someone else says how great it tows...

I actually thought about that, the bike has quite a bit more hp than the element. On a dyno at bike week it showed 183 hp at the tire.

For the price the HE trailer can't be beat. I paid $300 for the trailer, $80 for the treated wood and galvonized bolts, $50 for a spare tire, $20 for the trailer jack, $60 for the wheel chock. So basicly for a little over $500 I have a very nice bike trailer. When I was shopping around for a bike trailer I couldn't find anything for under $1,000 or so.
Also, here is a better picture of the bike.

I didn't have any trouble with the hills, it was just the very rough road. It had the trailer and bike bouncing all over the place.

Your Element looks like a LadyBug. Nice to know they can tow.
