Ok - I have tried 303 Aerospace Protectant, Meguiar's Protectant and the next morning after I washed my car Saturday it was streaky -

what did I do wrong?

The front and back bumpers were ok, but the side top panels above doors and back window look really bad...

The streaking is usually from moisture. I usualy do mine, wait a hour or so, and check/redo any light areas. If it does streak because it hadn't quite dried/absorbed in and there was condensation overnight that made it streaky, I just hit those areas again with the protectant.

I'm wondering now if I just rewash the car to get all the protectant junk off and start over again.

i.e. will leaving the streaks become an issue down the road if I just wait until the next washing?

you should be able to wait until the next washing
I have a 2003 with no ill effects from the 303
