eMass and other diver I thought we would talk here instead of jacking any more threads...

eMass: I am really looking forward to diving down south... all I have done so far is pool work, I go on the 1st and 2nd to do my open water parts and finish my training.

The trip to florida is with an endangered species course I am taking so we will be diving in some cool places, like crystal river and other areas near hamossas (sp?) springs. I am also flying to Belize during spring break to do some field research there so we are going to go diving there for a few days... Ever been to any of these places? The place we are going to on the 1,2 is just a lake and visibility is supposed to suck but the water is heated by the plant there so thats a plus.

Another diver here!

Crystal River can be nice, but it is frequently so crowded that you have trouble getting into the hole to dive, especially on weekends. If you're there on a weekday, it won't be so bad. In that area of Florida, I particularly like Rainbow River. It's not much of a dive in terms of depth, but it's an amazing drift dive in crystal clear water.

Belize is the reason I decided to learn to dive, over 15 years ago. I was staying on Cay Caulker and went snorkling. It drove me crazy that I could see all those things below me and that I couldn't get down there. You'll love it there. Do you know where you'll be staying, Bri?

I will actually be staying in many different places. I am going as part of a class where we go there to study. we will be doing some mammal work, some reptile work, and many other things so we will be all over. i have no info on the details yet but will let you know when i get them.

If you don't find me in my "E" i be underwater. luv luv luv to dive, tho getting a little tired of lobster :lol:
The "E" actually holds all my gear even (technical dive gear)
