I am running 19 inch motegi ff5's on 245/40/19 inch tires. The offset i believe is 45+...i got an alignment when i dropped my ride like 3 months ago. Anyone know why my tire..on the outside edge..the side visible..is wearing out? what could i do to fix this other than get an alignment..cuz i think doing so would provide the same outcome? roll fenders? what is that? would that help. thanks dudes. Im dropping my ride on some tein springs soon. like this week so i hope to figure somethin out by then. thanks.

More info needed.....what did you drop it with?...parts used? Where did you get the alignment?.....did you install the rear camber? And how long have to driving in these tires for them to wear?

That might give us a better clue....first instinct is the camber isn't adjusted right or the alignment placed messed it up.....4 wheel alignment right?

Also your tire size is a little smaller than stock as to match the stock wheels you'd need 245/45/19.

That is called "Rim Ride". The Ford "twin-I-beam" axle set up on trucks and vans was notorious for that problem. Had to heat the beams up and bend 'em with a Porta Power. You won't need that, but I suspect that the alingnment shop guys didn't know how to set up your car with the dropped ride. Take it back and show 'em the tires or find another shop that understands. You will need the adjustable arms for the rear. You can't "roll the fenders" on an Element. You can melt 'em or use a sawzall. Don't recommend either. Good luck :)

dancetiludrop is right.

I've got 245/19's on with Tein Springs and SPC camber kits front and back. After my alignment, the angles are better than factory.

Need more info.

+1

With an exception !! You can roll the fender wells. Several members have done that. In fact I think wasted just sold the Rolling tool to another member.

i got spc rear camber kit? i believe..dropped on H&R springs. I did the work at an Acura dealership. It felt and looked fine the first months ..but as the months rolled on and the freeways of SOcal are below decent..im thinkin alignment is out of wack..shall i wait for the Tein springs to fix this issue?

How soon you getting the Teins....if soon might be a good idea to wait and save on installation and yet another 4 wheel alignment.

H&R typically makes a better spring than Teins. At 70k miles struts etc could be shot as well as other suspension parts.

Find a quality alignment shop and make sure you have at least half a tank of gas and enough weight in the drivers seat to approximate your weight for the alignment. Do not go cheap on the alignment or you will end up paying for tires again. A quality alignment takes about an hour maybe more and figure on spending depending on your area at least $100 but closer to $200 for a quality alignment job. Find out where the autoXers and track guys go.

Now if you had coil overs you could have the car weight balanced etc.

Is it the outside edge on all 4 tires?

no just the rear 2 tires. Im thinking about swapping the rear 2 for 2 stock size tires...may look funny..but i bet itll be a much smoother ride.
