For those of you who were there, it was a freakin blast. I actually didn't really truly expect to be able to fire up the grill, but I did and I'm extremely happy how it all turned out. For those of you who weren't there, you missed one HELL of a party! That being said, there are a few things that need to be taken care of.

First on the list is the food itself. I'd like to give...
HUGE
MAD
FREAKING
PROPS
...to Dominic (Dom.Five), Silvester (Snuffleupagus), and Frank (Ind-E) for providing the bulk of the food for the evening and to Snuffy, BigTZ, Larry, and whoever else went on the booze run! They all were extremely generous and deserve a massive round of thanks for being in very large part responsible for making the party as kick-a$$ as it was!

Secondly, I'd like to thank Dom.Five and Justinb45 for prodding me to light up the grill. It was a great idea and it turned out freakin AWESOME!

Thirdly, I'd like to thank everyone who came and ate/drank/partied for making it a fun, fun time. The camaraderie, the joking, the styrofoam cooler twister, the rolling pin beatings, the grass skirts and coconut bras, the blowup doll, the modding, it was all incredible. One of the best times I've ever had, and I won't soon forget it!

Fourthly(?), I'd like to thank the second round of people for their patience since they came and had to wait a bit while more food was fetched.

And lastly, thanks again Tom, Larry, Julie, & company for organizing this and making it the event of a lifetime!!

I know I've asked this other places, but if you have any pics of the friday night party I'd love to have them posted here. I got zero since I was busy grillin and trying to not get my fingers burned off! You guys all rock, if it's at all possible I'll be bringing the grillin' chillin' disco ballin' Element to next year's meet!! :D

P.S. If I forgot you or have missed you somewhere please let me know so I can get you all the recognition you guys deserve!

Tom and I were in the second group of people who were going to go to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Once we hit the parking lot and smelled the grill, we changed our minds! It was a truly unique, EOC kind of experience.

When you try to explain it to other people, they smile and nod politely with a look in their eyes like I used to think you were semi-normal....what happened???

I get that a lot trying to explain it to people here at work. They seem to wonder why someone would give up a nice sit-down dinner to hang around in a smoky parking lot and eat ball park food. It's impossible to explain that it's about the people, not the food!

Then again they already know I'm really freakin weird here...

I am so glad we came back up to Dublin after I picked up Enrico and the dog (Annibale). That truly was a great BBQ party!

Thanks Twi! It was much better than the Cheesecake Factory could have ever hoped to be.

I'll chime in and say thanks as well. It's that sort of tailgating comraderie that I love about the meets. And although I was a little tender the next morning, I had a great time.

Lol yeah. The idea of cheesecake dissipated fairly quickly after seeing something like that. I mean seriously - how often you do you see a trailer-hitch-BBQ going in a hotel parking lot? : )~ I'm just glad you brought it with you! As she said, it was truly a unique experience.

I was also in the 2nd group intent on heading to Cheesecake factory.

I am soooo glad we opted for the bbq. Not only was everything wonderful it was a great time running to the store and loading up the cart with all kinds of adult beverages and then just splitting up the bill evenly, with the change going to the charity box on the counter. :)

Spending time with more E-ple was also a big plus.

Good times were had by all.

Thanks to all who helped contribute to the evening's festivities.

Man, the meets are never long enough. :(

Yep, I was in the 2nd group too who were going to the Cheesecake factory. I am sooooo glad we decided to stay. :)

The evening cookout and gathering turned out to be a major success! Loved it. Not everybody was there and not everyone who showed up were there all the time, but even then, we had that corner of the parking lot packed. It was awesome!

And don't give me too much credit, Twi, the adult beverages was a group effort. Larry (spdrcr5) wouldn't let me put more money in the pot. I'm glad he didn't try to stop me from going on the food run with Dom. Hahahahaha ;-)

Here are my pics of the grill.

Was no problem at all, I'm from Minnesota and like everyone from around here I have a genetic urge to feed people. Few things make me happier than making people full!

As they say around here, "Food is love. If you love us, you'll eat our food."

At the time of the BBQ I had already eaten earlier at ummm, where was it...oh yea Max and Erma's. I thought it was really cool that you guys just came around offering up the dogs and burgers that nobody had laid claim too :D Of course it smelled so good I had to have one, even though I was already full. It tasted as good as it smelled too!! I don't think I had quite sensed or understood the feeling of community or comradery of the group until that point. The way everybody that was walking around with the food was having a great time, just asking people if they wanted food, lol. Later in the evening, Wasted offered up some of his beer to me and that was even more proof. It's not everywhere that your instant "family" like that. So thanks to everybody who made it easy to feel comfortable around people you barely even know. I cannot wait till next year!!

I still want to thank Twi even though I took a nap (what am I, 90?) while the best part of the party was happening. We're gonna have to have a tailgate meet soon (and I mean soon!).

I'm sorry I missed it. We had to go get lost trying to find some pub...and when we finally found it, it took forever to find a parking space, get seated, and get our food...not to mention how many times I got picked on during the evening:mad:

And just think, if you would've stayed you could've skipped the parking problems, the getting lost, the seating and even the food delays! Don't think the getting picked on would've changed though...

Jeeeze, (blushing), I told you exactly what the Honda Guy told me.......

Now I feel like crap. Actually, my intent was, (and it worked) to get you guys out for a while so me and my brethren can get the first two rounds off the grill........awhhhh, it was GOOD too.

p.s. I was way too sleepy to do chat for a coupe of days...

It wasn't that bad, BigAL - Bi Gal always dramatizes things....he's just that way.

You can't imagine my frustration! We were following Junebug and NighthawkStella, who were blindly following some robotic GPS, like blind mice chasing their tails. We crossed the same river six times until I finally just took over, and said I "sensed" where the place was, and I got us there in two turns. (Sheesh!)

I'm sure the tailgate dinner and shenanigans was great, but in spite of what Mr. Big Bone Lick claims (false whining), we all had a great time, too. Not only that; I got "porn star parking"*! Then again, I forgot that Bi Gal wasn't riding my my E, so his parking whine may be legit.

And, um, yeah...we all stayed up intil past 2:00 a.m. in the same parking lot every single night, so let's not pick nits. ;-)

*Porn Star parking = very first spot after the handicapped ones, or right in front of the door if on-street.
Rock Star parking = very close to the front, or at least on the same block if on-street.

If you had jumped out of your E naked, they would have given you the handicap spot

Jurn's directions said to turn left twice in places that you could only turn right. This compounded with the fact that I had Gail as the obnoxious co-pilot and insisted that my GPS was wrong. When I took Fish-E's GPS, I was hoping it was more acurate:rolleyes:

Just kidding...I really didn't take his GPS...or did I?

Yeah, and later she worked my shaft—and had a deft touch on my soft knob.
I'm talking about the STICKSHIFT! Sheesh, get your minds out of the gutter!

Yeah, the pub was fun. Sorry I missed the BBQ, but wouldn't have tried a deep-fried pickle otherwise.

How'd you get a soft knob? Mine's stock and it's hard and knobbly

Twi- you should consider renting yourself out.
We could use you and you're mobile BBQ at our up coming campout in August.
You'll be on the A-List of everyone's camping trip now.
