i found that my E SRS light is on since it only has 6 miles.
so i brought it to dealer...and have them fixing the problem
(i know there is a post in this forum that teaches u how to reset it
but i found out it is kind of risky as u are dealing with 2 explosive devices..:D and thanks to the guy who posted the instructions pics)
and my E was in service department whole afternoon
to install the kelyess entry and seat rocks problem and fog light
..finally dealer called and insturcted me that my E is ready to go
except they have to order some parts for the seat rock problem
and they can not find a way to reset the SRS light
they told me that they had been calling honda motor...and
can not get the right code to reset it..:upset: :upset:
that really pisses me off:upset:
anyway...i still need to go there one more time to fix seat rock and they will try to repair SRS light again..:mchngn:
i will keep u guys updated..:D

HAVEN'T HAD A CHANCE TO PRICE THE ELEMENT AIRBAGS YET BUT ALL OTHER HONDA TRUE HONDA AIRBAGS COST SOME MONEY AS FAR AS THE CAP LOCKS GET OVER IT.

OEM Genuine Honda parts:
$367 for drivers frontal
$169 for drivers side impact
$454 for passenger frontal
$169 for passengers side impact
that's consumer price from www.HondaAutomotiveParts.com

and I didn't have to yell :?

Each airbag has it's own sensor, would be very difficult to set them all off at the same time, you would have to short all the wires for all the sensors or the SRS computer would have to go nuts. Though unlikely, I wouldn't want to be in front of one if it went off accidently.

I wouldn't fix a SRS problem myself, while they were under warranty though, that is Honda's obligation.

ALSO DO NOT FORGET THE SRS CONTROL UNIT ,SINCE IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED EVERYTIME AN AIRBAG IS DEPOLYED. THERE ARE 4 SENSORS 2 BEHIND THE BUMBER COVER AND 2 ON THE FLOOR BOARD NEXT TO YOUR SEATS THE AIRBAGS ARE HARD TO SET OFF BUT MOST LIKLEY THE FRONT GO OFF TOGETHER BUT THE SIDE IS A DEPENDING FACTOR. JUST SAVE YOURSELF ANY HASSLE AND TAKE IT IN TO HONDA. AND I DID NOT YELL BUT,SINCE YOU KNOW EVERYTHING I GUESS YOUR RIGHT.

Maybe you are new to message boards as you have not taken the hint. I will explain, typing in capital letters is considered to be "yelling". To type in all capital letters is like "yelling" your entire message, it is generally considered rude to do so. If you did not know this, no offense intended.

My E has 2300 miles...the SRS light came on last night?

WHAT? This is suprising for a vehicle that is so new.

Is there a reset?

Taking to dealer is a tough option given my work schedule....

any suggestions would be helpful

took mine in to have the light reset twice already (if anyone knows how to turn off this light at home, please share! may involve disconnecting battery)
anyways, i told the tech that the light came on while i was using the AUX jack with a DVD player on the dashboard on long road trips. He says that he discussed it with Honda tech help said that there have been issues with using electronic devices within the proximity of the SRS sensors, at least on the passenger side. Honda said this may cause the light to come on. His computer reading said nothing is wrong.

Interesting...
