So...is anyone else suffering the result of all these wildfires?! I'm seriously considering running around with a respirator on... maybe one of the army surplus stores has some gas masks and filters available.

Yech... here's the view leaving for work this morning at 6:45am. No I didn't use a filter, these were taken with my cellphone looking directly at the sun. All this haze has limited visibility in the central valley to 2 miles!!

The Hampton Roads area is getting the same thing, heavy smoke from the fire in North Carolina.

Yuck!! Just checked out the current satellite view of Northern California... here's the shot. That red dot marks where I'm at... and you can see how "hazy" it is....:???:

Couldn't even see the mountains since last Wednesday until this morning here in the Truckee Meadows... Sunsets were an awesome bright Red !

The fires are several hours drive away along the coast...yet we're suffering here in the valley. You guys are getting it the worst in the CV, paul... but today i woke up to good news-- marine layer fog! :) hopefully the fog will keep spreading cause its a bit disconcerting to walk out of the house and the air smells like one big campfire! :shock:
