This morning I rolled the window down just for a second and I couldn't roll it back up! Any ideas? What should I do?

Your window won't close at all, or it won't close in the "auto" mode?

Have you checked the fuses? Know how to?

I checked the fuses, but I don't know what I am looking for... I thought that it would say "fuse for passenger window" but I didn't see anything.

I'm at the office, away from my manual. Lizzurd is a good reference for this, he can probably pull the reference for you. I'll look at my manual tonight and see what I can find.

You didn't say which window isn't working; I'll assume it's the driver's. If the driver's window doesn't work but the passenger's window does, check Fuse #23.

Under-Dash Relay Box (http://www.skidmore.edu/~pdwyer/e/udfrb.htm):
Fuse #23 (20A) driver's window
Fuse #22 (20A) passenger window
Fuse #6 (7.5A) window relay

Under-Hood Relay Box (http://www.skidmore.edu/~pdwyer/e/uhfrb.htm):
Fuse #13 (40A) Fuses 7, 22 and 23 in UDRB and power window relay
(If this fuse is blown, the audio amplifier won't work either)

It will make it easier for others to help you if you fill in your profile, as circuits vary among years and trim levels.

Ok, I pulled out the fuse and it was not blown. When I press the up/down button, I can hear the click like it wants to go up but it won't. We took the door panel off and it looks like the bottom cable to the motor has a lot of "slack".

One thread per topic, please. Threads merged.

OK, now that we know that it was the passenger's side window, bh241's advice is spot-on.

See 2004 Owner's Manual, page 81.

Sounds like you have a bad window motor. Try holding the switch down, then smack the door panel near where the motor is. (if you still have the door panel off, tap the motor with a hammer) This usually frees it up but it will stick again, I would plan on replacing the motor. If the regulator cables are broken, you will have to get a new regulator. The regulators usually come with motors.
