Yes, you will need to input the code to reactivate the radio... The code may be on an approx. 1" sticker on the inside of the glove box, or in side the engine compartment fuse box. It has also been known to be in such strange places as the owners manual, on the "A" pilar etc... If you don't have the code you will need the radio serial number and get the code from the dealer... good luck.

If you enter your vehicle information into Honda's Owner Link website, it will show you the radio code. Below is mine, look on the right side...

I gambled and installed it with the battery still hooked up and had no problems.
