: Black Pearl
Aubreanna 07-02-2008, 08:52 AM All,
I am thinking about buying a Element EX 2WD in black pearl because it is the only color remaining in a manual transmission remotely close to me. However, I can not find any good pictures of this car in black. If any BP Element owners have pictures available, please post them.
Thanks!!

I love your dog Ted - she's cute
I'm thinking Dee washed her's to impress your dog
Aubreanna 07-02-2008, 09:15 AM Wow, these pictures are great and I am officially in love. My main concern with a black car is that I have always heard it is hard to keep clean and every scratch shows up very well. What do you all think?
gisele 07-02-2008, 09:16 AM Who's Ted? And what kind of dog does he have. MY Megan is a mini-Aussie. :D

Aubreanna,
I think Black Pearl is beautiful. Black is the best. NBP gets the best mileage, it's classy and
NBP Rules!

Black is always hard to keep clean...but you don't have to be clean to be sexy:lol:
Pope*Mobile 07-02-2008, 09:26 AM I originally had an '03 nighthawk black. Just like any black vehicle, it does show every mark but when it is clean . . . WOW . . . it is a looker! Just a word of advice- always hand wash and never use automatic machines!
Have to say my husband and I really had a hard time deciding color this time around . . . please don't tell the TRP mensa.

Pope I like you even more. I didn't know your first lovE was an NBP. -g
Rocket Dog 07-02-2008, 09:30 AM NBP is the color they get when, at the end of the shift, they pour all the leftover paints together.

gisele 07-02-2008, 09:51 AM Aubreanna,
Check out this thread where a member restored an NBP (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47218). It's amazing work.
And here's a pic of that same E that shows the blue flecks in the black paint--Nighthawk Black Pearl

Aubreanna, NBP was my first choice but I wanted a manual transmission and there was one local but in red (TRP). I really like the red however my TL, which is the same exact color black as the E, is absolutely georgeous. It's hard to maintain but as others have mentioned it looks really great when it's clean.
Good luck on your purchase!
HellBent34 07-02-2008, 12:27 PM THEY MAKE ELEMENTS IN OTHER COLORS?????
:D:D:D:D:D:D
BLK BOX 07-02-2008, 01:04 PM But NBP is the only color that counts:D
Aubreanna 07-02-2008, 03:41 PM The dealer has 2 2007 EX brand new! BUT, I will not be able to buy for another month. Is this something that I should tell the dealer or should I just wait it out and hope that one is still there in a month?
By the way, thanks for all of the great pictures.

There's some black somewhere under all the filth in there. I know its called pearl, but its kinda lackluster compared to what I think of when I see a good pearlescent paint job.

I don't know if the dealer can hold the E for a month for you but you can certainly ask. I would say your best bet is to wait it out and who knows they still may be there or if not, look somewhere else. That's my .02 Good Luck!
