Imagine a mirror attached to the top of the back window that was at an angle that allowed you to see down to your rear bumper. So when backing up to a wall or parallel parking you could see the your rear bumper in the mirror and know when to stop.

I work with a LOT of mirrors in my job so one day I grabbed one and taped it at an angle to point down at the curb behind my Element. It worked great! Now I can safely back up to within 2 inches of another car, wall, or other obstical with no worries. It works super well! (Before I was far over estimating the amount of room behind me when parking.)

Now that I am more confident in it, I can actually look forward into my rear view mirror and see my "rear bumper mirror" and know how far I can back up without even turning my head! It is great!

I'd like to see my rear bumper in relation to what's behind me also. I've been looking for one of those fresnel lenses I've seen in the rear windows of motorhomes, but haven't had any luck yet. How bad does your taped-on mirror look? Any chance you could picture it for us/me? Or market them? Anything would help!
