HELLO-O-O-O-O-O out there! I know you're out there - I've seen you on the road! More importantly, I'd love to meet you! I'd like to organize an owner's dinner drive in the future, but need to guage interest. My thought is that we'd meet at a dealership on a Saturday afternoon - 4:00-ish, get signed in, ogle the E's, then drive to a nearby local restaurant for dinner and socializing. Anybody out there interested?????


I think we could have alot of fun with these rides! My ex-hubby owns a Mini Cooper and belongs to a club. His dealership in Winston-Salem sponsors "road rallies" once a quarter. Since he bought his, he's been to a local dinner and movie, to Virginia International Raceway - they got to drive on the track!!!! and today he is on his way to Chateau Morrissette in the mountains for a day of scenic driving and dinner. Doesn't that sound like fun?!?!

(NOTE: Proper E etiquette is to wave wildly at your fellow E drivers anytime you see them, simply because you KNOW they LOVE their E as much as you do!)

I am waving at other E drivers but only one has waved back, maybe the others are not happy with their E. :(

I noticed most E owners dont wave either.....I allways either flash my lights or wave......just like with my cj7

We could try a show - it's a good idea. I'll have to see what's coming up. I know Miss Saigon is coming to Blumenthal and also Manheim Steamroller Christmas show is coming. I don't think I can get my act together in time for either. Probably have to wait til after first of the new year.

Will do, Brandy. Hope to get something going after the first of the year. Have seen lots of new E's in the area. Have now seen: 3 SOPs, in Mooresville. 1 each SOP, EBP and SMM in Wachovia parking deck on W.T. Harris. Have even seen another GG like mine in Mooresville, with out-of-state plates. Hope they moved to the area and are staying. Hope they are all familiar with these boards, but haven't seen any posts from Mooresville yet.

Im heading up to bryson city for a small vacation hope to get this thing in some snow and see what it will do.

Z- hope you have a great time in Bryson City and that there's LOTS of snow to play in. Let us know how it goes for you. I'm interested in how the E handles in the white stuff and too chicken to drive up to the mountains to see for myself. Driving in the snow doesn't scare me - it's the other people on the road who don't know how to drive in it that terrify me!

I hear ya, from the threads I have read it does well. Im looking forward to it. Can I still fish if there is snow? The place we rented is on a stream stocked with fish.

Yes a gathering sounds like fun. I have seen 5 or so Elements around Mooresville mostly in the Target/Petsmart parking lot and also at the Amstar Theater. I have a Shoreline Mist.

Welcome to the boards! I've seen most Elements in AmStar/WalMart area as well. Never get to see the drivers though or I'd introduce myself. Hate to appear like a stalker hanging around the lot waiting for them, you know. There's a Sunset Orange Pearl (SOP) in the neighborhoods near the middle school - on Fieldcrest. I see it in their driveway every morning when I take my daughter to school. I think I'm the only Galapagos Green in the immediate area. I'll be on the lookout for you when I'm out toolin' around. Wave! The Element sure is fun! We see people peeking in our windows when we're parked at restaurants and somebody almost always comes up to talk to me and take a look when I'm filling her up with gas. I love it!

That is right. I just officially inadvertently uninvitedly entered as an Element owner. Today is my first official entire day as an owner. Needless to say I am psyched. I be sure to stick my neck out the skylight to wave wildly the next time I see you kids.

Welcome newcomers and hello to all! I am going to prepare for an E-gathering near the end of MARCH. Stay in touch with the boards for more info as I gather and post details. I will post on this thread and also on the main meets and gatherings board. I am going to start small - real small - since I've never done anything like this before. I'd like to do dinner at a restaurant so everyone can meet and talk and we can ALL decide and plan our next activity together. We could maybe plan on a Blue Ridge Pkwy drive for the azalea or rhododendron festival or something like that. I'm certainly open to suggestions. There's also the Saturday Night Fever show coming to the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center in Charlotte, though I'm not sure of the dates. I can't do alot of stuff like that due to cost though. Then there's The Comedy Zone which usually has decent acts, and there are lots of bars/restaurants/clubs downtown, too. We could even maybe arrange a owner's "car show" (Es only, of course)) at a local park and everyone bring your own picnic lunch. Please, think of things you'd like to do and bring your list with you.

I'm only going to try this one time - I suck at failure. So if we don't have at least 5 Es show up at the initial restaurant meeting, I'm done. Here's a suggestion for all - when you see an E in a parking lot, stick a note on the windshield mentioning this WEB site and the Charlotte Area E-Gathering thread on the Southeast Element Owners board! :D

Just wanted to know whose Element loved the snow as much as mine did? If you didn't take yours out during this weeks big snow, you missed out on impressive job the all wheel drive "E" can do. This is my first AWD, my husband and I took it out during the last snow, but this one was the real test. Me and my "E" had fun. Live in Mooresville, had to work Friday in Charlotte then had to drive to Monroe later in the day. Ready for spring, but can't wait now for more snow next year. :D

Welcome to all who are new to this board! I am seeing more and more E's and wave to all. My E LOVED the snow, too. Had to drive from Mooresville to Charlotte same as others, but I CHOSE the back roads instead of I-77. (Figured I'd rather be on worse roads with fewer drivers) My little Grasshopper was awesome! I've never felt so in control while driving in such conditions - especially considering my last car was a '96 mini van. I'm still working on a gathering for the end of this month so stay tuned...

Ever any luck getting a meet together? My wife and I just bought an E in Asheville. A large gathering of E's sounds cool.
