Hello fellow E owners...
I just got a new 2008 LX and love it! Can anyone recommend the easiest stereo upgrade without having to tear apart the interior too much? I would prefer to stick with OEM parts to keep the original look. Can the head/speakers be replaced easilly without having to rewire?
Thanks in advance!

It is easy to replace the speakers without changing looks. Check the Sticky about speakers that fit.
Replacing the headunit without changing the OEM looks will be harder. Aftermarket HUs will change the looks. The EX unit is relatively expensive, and to get most benefit from it you'll need to add tweeters and subamp, sub woofer etc.
Its also crap. On the other hand, I'll sell you the stock EX head unit from a 2004 for $25 and shipping. :)
edit: FWIW, you can perfectly match the colours with some of the newer aftermarket head units. I recently bought a Clarion something from Crutchfield for $299 and was able to perfectly match the colours to the factory LEDs. I'd show you, but it was also crap and I sent it back. Its replacement has LEDs that are good enough for government work and my taste.
edit pt2: I've also got the stock subwoofer and cover, but I actually wasn't intending to sell it. Then again, persuade me with money. Its possible I could go for it.
I replaced the speakers (polk db650's) in mine, but kept the factory LX HU and amp. I wasn't going for a hardcore system, just better sound and I got it. I also installed a Blitzsafe adapter that will play and charge my iPod without having to use an FM transmitter. If that's something you are interested in you can do a search for "Blitzsafe" on the boards to get info.
